Harley Benton HB-20R 5-stars Reviews
Good product for the price
So the product is nothing crazy it has all the basic settings, the sound is ok its not very clear.
Overall I would recommend this product for this price
great quality for price
works really well, bought it for myself as a beginner and love it. built in overdrive is great and so is the reverb. very good quality
Good for their price
A good amp for begginer with a set of basic settings, even some kind of distortion.
Of the minuses there is a noticeable background sound.
Actually more than I need
I like this amp. But I mostly practice (or play) at a clean setting so the overdrive/gain is somewhat unnecessary for my needs. And the same goes for the reverb that's also part of the package. I don't use reverb, or tremolo for that matter, and for now at least this will not be something that I will use.
But I will say that it is a very good combo amp for practicing. It works very well at lower volume settings with a very clean tone. And the price was very reasonable for the features whether I use them or not.
Also, the construction quality is very high and all of the controls feel substantial when used and of a high quality. I am very pleased with this amp.
This amp is LOUD
Solid built and durable case and that speaker pumps out plenty of volume. I was playing it in the middle of a field (i live on a farm) and still got a complaint from the neihbour. She said it was scaring the horses?
Good for the price
I wanted a portable and light amp just for private practicing at home and this 20W amp just fit that description completely. Could even be used as an actual stage amp for beginners!
look at this
got this amp a year ago and use it more than my others. good tones and features. i would recommend to everyone.
An excellent combo amplifier for such a price
The sound is not bad for a transistor combo, but you need to pump the speaker, at low volume it is very bad. The workmanship is excellent, the only jamb is the tightened screws of the Harley Benton logo, which caused it to crack a little. I think it's better to take a 10-watt version for home classes, because 20 watts is too much. For that kind of money, it's a great option for a rehearsal amplifier.
Perfect amp for practice
Very good quality of tone, wood, power and nice finish with soft touch. Potentiometers have very good feeling and they don't look cheap. Reverb is very original and old school. All in all its a very good amp for the money and honestly I was not expecting that for the price. GREAT DEAL !
Insanely good for the price
There's not much to say at this price, it's an amazing amp for the price. The bass is solid, it sounds deep, the clean tone is great. The only slight drawback is that the distortion channel is not the best, but is definitely good enough for casual playing!
Perfect for a starter Amp
For a beginner amp it truly is one of the better ones to get. The sound coming from it is very good albeit that the reverb sometimes takes it a step too far (replugging the amp fixes the issue so nothing horrible).
great guitar amp
really great sound and many great features included. excellent amp
Perfect for me starting to pay the electric guitar great size with great sound
Perfect For Practicing At Home
It is small and it works very well
Impressive 20W amp
The EQ is well balanced, it's loud enough, the best amp if you are a room guitarist.
Great amp for beginners and practice!
It's a great practice amp for beginners or intermediate level guitarists. Sounds great, the quality is goodand both channels work properly!
Super starter amp
Easy to use, basic eq and reverb option of clean output or distortion. Excellent amp to get anyone up and running. Bought as part of a kit with a guitar, all were excellent. Super easy to order and pay.
INCREDIBLE
I bought this amp because I had a gig in a club, that I had to reach by train, so it would be easy to carry and could fit it in a trolley. As I tried it, just out of the box, I couldn't believe my ears. Clean, nice sound, EQ very responsive, loud enough to be heard in a club without connecting it to a cabinet o straight to the mixer. Now this is my favorite amp (I also have a Vox, an Epiphone, and a Gallien) and still cannot believe such quality for the price. I guess HB will realize they have a winner, and either rise the price, or discontinue it because is too good for the (generally cheap) HB lines. If you need an easy going amp, hurry up.
An exceptional product for its price. No interference, enough power not to burst and no interference.
Great beginner amp
This is a cheap, small portable amp and versitale enough to be able to acommodate any style of playing. Has both clean and distorted(overdrive) setting with gain adjuster. Also for a small amp it has really great volume, can be used in a crowd in a large room. Also you can adjust low,mid and high tones which enables you to have full control of the sound. It works as an output for an audio interface and it barely changes the original sound the interface is sending. If you are a beginner and you want to start playing electric guitar but aren't sure if you are going to stick with it, I suggest you get this amp because even if you use it for three weeks it still can be resold just slightly under the original price.
