Harley Benton JB-75MN NA Vintage Series Reviews
Gran Calidad y Sonido!
Jazz Bass
My only complaints are the nut tends to not stay in place and the truss rod adjustment wasn't the best, other than that amazing bass plays well has a nice sound all the electronics work just fine and the body is just gorgeous.
Great bass, but too heavy for comfort
This bass is incredible value for money. The build quality, pickups, action and finish are all better that you might expect at the price. There is only one negative, but unfortunately a big one - the weight! Mine is bang on 5kg (a shade over 11 pounds) which is definitely heading into the boat anchor territory and I would not want to be gigging with it for that reason alone. Even with a decent quality wide padded strap it gets uncomfortable pretty quickly. Other than that I can't fault it.
Great, except for one small thing
Really nice, the build quality surprised me. The neck has a lovely finish, and it feels good to play. There's was just one small problem build-wise, the scratch plate is a bit warped near the screws, and there was some saw dust under there, pushing the scratch plate upwards a little bit.
Great Bass For The Money!
It's my first HB bass and I'm quite happy about it! Yeah, this bass is not perfect, but for the price it is really good! Similar basses from different companies could ask for their basses up to 300 or maybe 400 euro sometimes. If you always wanted to try Jazz bass - this one would be a great choice!
The only big minus I found it's the weight of the bass...It is really heavy and I'm not kidding. My leg starts to hurt after a long play usually...So if you are a skinny guy or a girl think about it before you buy it :D
But the other features, sound, quality is on a good level! Definitely recommend to buy!
stylish!
I've never played a bass before, so I don't have anything to compare the feel and sound to, but it's just a joy to play.
removing the protective film is a bit tough, some screws are screwed in a little unevenly, but overall the instrument is beautiful
Harley Benton JB-75MN NA Vintage Series
what can I say probably the best bang for buck bass in the world. dont take my word for it look at everybody elses reviews. Stunning guitar at a stunning price.
Great Deal!
I am categorically in love with this bass!)
As many have already written, this bass is very much superior to its cost in terms of its quality.
Absolutely no complaints about the finish and performance, the quality is worthy of the famous progenitor for absolutely ridiculous money!
Three pieces of ash were announced, but I never found glues, as if it were a single piece, it looks great!
I was especially struck that the tool is really built out of the box, I just slightly lowered the action. the scale and the anchor are immediately in place, and by the tension of the strings from the box, it was clear that the scale was rebuilt before shipping, it's very nice!)
the only thing is: it is VERY HEAVY. even for bass. No, I'm serious, it really WEIGHS A LOT. suitable for those who like to play sitting or for physically trained musicians.
I can also recommend it as a base for tuning, because the woodwork is excellent. put cool pickups on it, upgrade the electronics and get an incredible professional instrument for much cheaper than buying it all assembled! although again this is a very worthy tool out of the box and definitely the best choice for this price!
Really great quality for price
Bought this bass mainly for recording. Modded it with fender pickups and elixir strings, got it set up and does the job well in my expectations.
What a steal!!!
This bass is unbelievable. Out of the box it was unbelievably good, the action was nice and low, stunning high gloss finish, no need to sand the frets. I have a 1993 squier by fender jazz Bass, replaced everything on it, still this guitar is better right out of the box! I think the supervisors from quality control must have been watching when they made my Bass. I'm truly happily overwhelmed at the quality, and at the price it's almost obscene. My local luthier said they must be selling them at wholesale. If you need a bass and don't have much money you can't go wrong with one of these!!!
Unbeatable
Unbeatable at this price point, this is a great J style bass, perfectly diggable as is, and priced so that you can afford to upgrade it if there is something that you think needs it. I've bought and played Basses that have cost lots more and have performed nowhere near as well. A good solid bass that should serve well for years.
A great bang for the buck, butâ¦
For this price, you can't do better, and there's really no need to make a deep dive of the sound and features.
My only gripe is with the delivery - the guitar took a blow in the exterior strap button so the button dented the wood, chipped off some of the lacquer and became loose. The button made a hole in the cardboard box the guitar was packaged in. Fortunately, I was able to fix this as I have the right materials and tools at home. But that should not happen.
A beautifully built bass perfect for a guitarist looking to try something new
I picked up this bass because of some of the good reviews and because of my other experiences with HB guitars. The bass arrived in great condition and was set up well. The sound and playability are great, but the best thing about the JB-75 is that it's one of those instruments you just have to pick up and play.
Amazing JB
Amazing to play and very good sound.
I was looking for a Jazz Bass to start after playing guitar for 2 years and it is an amazing product.
The only drawback is its heavy weight but that was not a surprise as it's mentioned on the reviews you can find online.
Heavy bass. I gave it
Quality was excellent had a real growl that I loved and miss on my fender but as other reviews have warned was just too heavy.
Quality at an affordable price
You simply can’t go wrong with this bass guitar. The sound is much better than any of its rivals at this price point. The neck feels great, and it has a beautiful finish. If there is any downside is that is quite heavy and the tuners aren’t great but even with these issues it is hard to find fault with it.
A good buy for the price
I bought this bass based on the recommendation of a fellow musician and I have to say I quite enjoy it.
I was searching for a cheap bass that would allow me to record the bass for my songs and I am very glad I listened to that recommendation.
Though the DI sound level feels a bit low, even with everything turned up to the max, I found a way to integrate it and make it work just right.
Definitely recommend the bass for beginners and for anyone looking to start recording bass in their home studio for a good price.
Best purchase I ever did
Came with DHL today in the evening. I'm mainly guitarist. I owned Yamaha basses before. Overall is a very good bass. Ita crafted perfectly. A bit heavy but i don't care. Heavy axe is a good axe in my book. Fretboard fast, body comfortable, no problems with finish and the wood, sounds very diverse for a passive bass. Needed some small adjustments like the intonation it was a little high for my taste and just a little turn with Allen key for the truss rod. It kind of play out of the box 90%.
All good. I will order again, different products i believe (Harley Benton guitars) etc.
Killer bass
This bass has excellent build quality and sounds great! When compared to my other Fender Jazz Basses at a much greater cost, I'm blown away. The neck is a little chunky, but once you get used to it, it's great! Punchy tone!! I just ordered another one.
8 pieces of ash! Absurd
I bought this bass expecting a medium quality bass.
Talking about the body wood, i received a bass with 8 pieces of ash, very badly assembled. You can't even watch it!
I suggest to buy a painted one or change the picture on the website
