For what it's worth

Now, I haven't really played bass, since I'm more of a guitar player, but hear me out.

For it's price, you get your money's worth and more. I can't find anything wrong with this bass guitar. Came with a free cable, in case the bass player didn't realize he needed one (that was a joke). But therein, as I said, the bass is bare-bones - and there's nothing wrong with that.

Let me just say, 20 years ago, you couldn't get a bass like this for less than 150€. So if you're in the need for a standard bass or perhaps a platform for modding, look no further than this no-nonsense Benton.

Everything I hoped for.

Getting back in to playing bass after an 8 year bass. Delivered to NC, USA in 4 days. The finish was great, obviously needed a setup. The only odd thing is that all the pickup screws were loose to the point of falling out. Luckily none were lost in shipping.

I didn't even plug it in as it was received. I immediately shielded the full cavity and pickguard, replaced all the wiring with an upgrade kit, put in a SD Quarter Pounder P/U, and a set of good flat wound strings.

After a good setup (complete setup - Truss Rod, string height, intonation, pickup height)-- This thing plays and sounds as good as any factory $700+ instrument.

I'm ordering a JB model today, and will be trying out their amps too. I'm now a HUGE HB fan!

Great P-bass for starters!

I got this bass like 2 years ago. It's perfect for someone who wants to learn how to play bass. Sound is OK, build quality is OK. For that price tag it is a steal!

Excellent!

I bought this instrument to record bass sounds at my home studio. I was a little tired from the MIDI bass sound. This bass is really good. I recommend it 100%

It does what it's supposed to do

I'm a guitar player so I wouldn't know a 5000 bass from a 80 bass from the sound. But this bad boy is super cheap AND does what it's supposed to do: add a bass line to your song in the DAW. Haven't had any problems with it.

It's a bass that can do many more things than what the pricetag indicates. I have gotten many compliments about my sound even though i am not using a great amplifier. 100% would buy it again

WOW what a Shocker.

I thoght i would recieve a bass that would barely play and would need lots of adjustments... Well... That was not the case, straight out of the box it was flawless just tune and play! Incredible!

Highly recommend this one to anyone who is taking he's first steps in the world of bass or those that just want another axe without draining ones wallet empty ?.

Cheers!

great bass for starters and even intermediate players. plays very nice, almost exactly like a proper fender p bass. would recommend changing the stock strings, as they are a bit clunky and not very bright. otherwise, an incredible bass for such a low price

Sounds fab out the box

Grabbed this just to muck about with, I have been playing bass for 36 years in Orchestra's and pop groups

I own an old 1971 Fender Jazz which is my main bass

However I was very happy with this guitar and used it on a session straight out the box, easy to play and sounds great, will defiantly be using many more times in the future :)

Great value and perfect for light recording use

I needed to get a bass for the purposes of recording demo videos and tunes. As a guitarist, I was not willing to spend a fortune on a bass for light use, thankfully the PB-20 doesn't cost a fortune and actually sounds great.

With a bit of set up it is very comfortable to play. It keeps its tuning well and records brilliantly. The build quality is also remarkably good for the price, with nice frets and a solid feel throughout.

I wanted a precision bass to try

I have read forums and reviews of Harley Benton guitars and I was getting more and more curios to see if what I was reading was true.

I wanted a precision bass and so I thought I would give this one a go. I was half prepared to be disappointed when it arrived but I was also quite sure the forums were right, and they were.

The first thing I noticed was how well the guitar was packed, the guitar box is in a huge outer box filled with air pillows, it's hard to see how any damage could occur. The guitar is encased in bubble wrap and there is even protective paper wrapping over the strings.

The guitar looks lovely, well made and a lot of care appears to have been taken in making sure that you get a guitar in perfect condition.

The finish is pretty flawless, I think I can find the tiniest of defects if I look really hard but I can on guitars that cost more than five times as much.

The guitar sounds great although I must admit that I changed the strings almost immediately, I plan no other modifications, the guitar plays great, it's comfortable, it looks the part and most important, I love it, I would have been happy to have paid much more for this, I cannot recommend these guitars highly enough!

Great for the price !!

I bought this Bass guitar to try and learn a stringed instrument , and have been using it now for the past 6 months

the build quality is superb for the price and sound quality no less when used on a decent amp!

people usually get shocked when i tell them the price i paid for it haha

overall if you are a beginner or even been playing for q while i would recommend just getting one and leaving it lay around the house

Best bargain ever

This is probably the best value-for-money in my life, seriously.

This is a simple no-BS workhorse P-Bass, very enjoyable to play with flawless neck, really good sounding pickups, simple but fully functional and to-the-point hardware.

Mind that in "features", I took it that it stands for "PBass design features" and that's what I placed 5 stars, since this instruments lacks none of the PBass features. It certainly missed *several* features in context of what's possible in the electric bass universe, but that's a compromise with any PBass.

I used it in my home studio, rehearsal rooms and small gigs - no problem whatsoever, stays in tune.

In my eyes there is no reason to buy a more expensive PBass, besides the name on the headstock.

I dare anyone to distinguish in a dry mix the more than x10 more expensive Fender.

It sounds good, the strings feel great, the design is awesome and it's not very heavy(for a bass). I personally recommend it, specially for beginners.
