Great bass guitar !

At a concert in the club, few people will distinguish HB from the Jazz Bass Standard of the USA. So why pay more?

Add another 150 euros, screen, file the frets, and even with stock pickups, everything sounds great.

Minus one: I ordered pickguard in black, but it turned out to be much smaller than the desired size. The store kindly compensated me for the cost .

Incredible value

It was playable right out of the box. It was decently setup and sounded really good. I'm very impressed with the sound of the Roswell pickups. With basses in this price range I've noticed that they can sound decent but never really feel nice. That's not the case here. It feels really nice. It also looks beautiful. The fretboard is a lot lighter looking in person. My one complaint is that the plastic was kind of difficult to remove and there were a few minor scratches on the pick guard.

OK bas for beginners

Well, it was cheap and looked nice. The sound was just OK, but there was some metallic, harsh tone on the G string even with new strings which made headphone playing rather mediocre experience . What I disliked a lot was a fretwork. I still don't understand how comes anyone would call it a final, ready to sell product. My left hand was almost bleeding after 10mins of playing. Absolutely appalling. HB should attach a hazard information for kids on it if they are not planning on to make sure frets are not sharp and sticking out. Other quality aspects were OK.

Better than Expected!

I bought this for my grandson. He loves it and practices all the time. If you're on a budget and want a bass that doesn't suck, you will most likely be very happy with this bass!

Great for the price

This was my first Bass Guitar and I have to say, for the price, it's pretty damn good.

I just use it for tracking bass lines when recording and it does the job!

Best cheap bass on the market

Looked around for a long time for a starter bass and finally settled on this one. One of the best decisions I've ever made. It has a great tone which is amazing for the price and it looks incredible with a lovely clean finish. I'd strongly recommend anyone who is looking for a cheaper bass which can compete with the bigger more expensive brands.

Overall a very good bass for a non bass player

I've been using this bass guitar for the past 2 months and from a non bass player I can say that the pickups could be better and it definitely weights a bit more than expected, but for the price...it's a steal! If you need a bass guitar in your home studio, go for this one!

Incredibly fast intl. shipping and best bang for your buck!

Compared against a Fender MIM, the quality here is right on par for a fraction of the price. Pickups are very comparable, with room for improvement. If you're a studio musician or a tone-snob you'll likely swap these out anyway. My only complaint is this bass is HEAVY. Buy a padded strap and be prepared for some serious weight if you're standing for an extended period of time while playing. Threw a pair of flat-wounds on here, and I have been picking this off the rack considerably more than anything else I own. What an absolutely beauty of a guitar for less than you'd pay for anything else on the market.

Very happy with this bass.

I have been wanting to get a jazz bass in these colors for a while but since I don't play bass very often, I didn't want to spend the money. While surfing the internet, a video showing a Harley Benton bass caught my eye and I started looking at this model and I read the reviews. At this price point, and with the outstanding reviews, I thought it was a good gamble so I placed an order on June 2.

On June 29 it arrived via DHL and USPS. It was in excellent condition. The bass was pretty well set up and ready to play after I stretched the strings and tuned it. The only issue I could find was that one of the inserts on the fretboard will eventually get a little glue as it's rising up a hair on one corner. The neck fits snugly in the pocket. The frets and edges are smooth and the fretboard looks great with the binding. The hardware and electronics work very well. The Sunburst finish is gorgeous!

I already have a Fender Player series model jazz bass that I love so I couldn't wait to compare the two. Through my inexpensive practice amp, this bass sounds about the same as the Fender and may actually have a little more output. The Fender weighs 9 pounds, and I'd estimate that the HB is about 3-4 pounds heavier. The fret edges feel a little bit better on the HB bass than on the Fender. Due to the extra weight of the HB, the Player series bass is more comfortable when I stand up to play, but otherwise, I'd have to say the HB is pretty much on par with the Fender.

Blown away. Plays just like if not better than a new MiM Fender Bass

HB JB-75 Vintage

Pros, Great J bass. Toe to toe with any new Fender J.

Cons, I call it the Tank, it is 12.5 LBS..Good grief..

great for the price

Decent little bass, easy to play and everything works.

Has a bit of hiss and the pickups are not the best, but well worth the money

Superb for the price

Firstly I’m not a bass player, I’m a keyboard player who dabbles a bit on bass, so keep this in mind when reading this review. Out of the box I was extremely impressed by the quality of this bass. It was even in tune. Played around with it for a few days, put it through the studio monitors and experimented putting it through some of the plugins on the DAW. It all sounded great, and to me it played very well. I gave it to the the bass player in one of the bands I work with, to check it out, and see if it needed any adjustments. He gave it back saying the set up was spot on, and how astonished he was by the quality and playability. If you’re like me and want a good hobby instrument, without breaking the bank, you won’t go far wrong with this. If you’re a pro bass player this would make a good backup or practice instrument. Either way for the cost I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Great bass for begginers

I purchased this bass a little over one year ago. It was my first bass, as I had previously only played guitar. So far I have found it quite satisfying. It has held up nicely as a tool for practice and band rehearsal.

Pros:

Extremely affordable, which is godsend for people who just want to try the instrument out

Nice, comfortable and sturdy body

Solid tuning stability

Good sound quality for the money

Cons:

The edges of the frets are a little bit sharp, but nothing too serious

It came with a tiny scrape on the fretboard, but that's just a visual problem

The print on the pickguard looks a bit cheap and tacky up close

With that said, on a whole this bass will give you a lot of bang for your buck, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this to a beginner or someone who is looking for a solid backup.

Fantastic

The setup when I received it was garbage. Once i got everything dialed in though, the bass itself is immaculate. not a single buzzing fret even with low action, it looks stunning in person and sounds fantastic.

Fantastic value for money

I was pleasantly surprised with the JB75. It is well made and everything works exactly as intended. The action was high so I customised it for my personal taste, but now it plays very well. I was worried that it would be heavy as other reviewers have reported, but it's decent at 4.1kg with a 3 piece body (and the ash has been nicely joined to match with grain perfectly). As a bass for occasional recording and gigging, and for my wife to learn on, it's perfect - especially considering the price.
