Best base bass guitar for a project

I have always wanted to have a project bass guitar. I finally chose this one after watching Lobster’s review on YouTube for the JP version. One of the reasons I picked the JJ version was because it already came with the battery compartment.

The bass as it came was really great value for money, but after upgrading the bridge by the Fender Hi-Mass, the tuners by Wilkinsons WJB750, the pickups and electronic by EMG JVX and the strings by Fender flats, this is an outstanding bass guitar, with great tone, no hum and a joy to play. It is my favourite and ended up costing less than half of a similar spec instrument. The neck of this base is a thing of beauty and the finish looks great with some lemon oil on it. 5 star bass guitar.

Had a few issues, still far worth the price.

Other than having to re-solder the pickups because they came sounding distorted and quite, I had to sand the neck down because it was almost unusably thick. I've since replaced the pickups and preamp. Since upgrading the electronics and sanding the neck this thing is an absolute beast that punches WAY above its weight class. Still over all very pleased with my purchase but say harley bentons qc issues first hand after my first one was an absolute perfect specimen.
