Simple, effective and cheap

It is an A/B box that does what it's supposed to. It splits the signal two ways. It also has a switch that allows two signals to be played at once so you can run a dual amp setup. It splits even if there is no power in the pedal, but I think it requires power for the dual amp setup to work. Didn't try that out, so dont hold my word on that. The split is seemless, no cracking, no noise, the pedal itself is dead silent. It is built like a tank and works perfectly. You get your moneys worth.

Really useful

It works really well in almost all scenarios, for example: - if a guitar is connected in Y and it is outputting to A and B, it can output to either by changing with the foot switch or - if you set the toggle to A&B in the above scenario, it splits the signal and sends it to both simultaneously; - if you add two guitars in A and B and output to Y using the A/B toggle, you select with the footswitch and it works great. - However, if you select A&B, it only outputs A normally, B is so weak that you have to turn up the volume to hear it. In my case, B is a guitar with humbuckers with a larger output than A, so I should be able to hear it. 4/5 stars in features for this. Another useful feature is that you can use the pedal foot switch without power because it will still change between A and B; I guess you need the power to see the light in a dark setting. Hopefully this will help others, since the manual is only one page, half being a photo and most of the other half is blank. Otherwise, it feels really sturdy and I don't feel any added noise or loud clicking of the switch. At this price, I'm very happy with it.

Simple & Effective

As an A/B switch between 2 guitars or amps this is a perfect 5* unit. If I needed the Y functionality it'd only be 4* due to the bad colour mixing on the LED as mentioned in someone else's previous review.

The most important no noise..

Completely silent..

A blind buy..

Why pay more?

Does what it says on the tin. In the gig accessory box just in case. The two inputs are quite close together, not enough room for two radio receivers.

Does the job for cheap

Considering the price a very decent unit, does the switching which it needs to do :)

Can't feel the need to pay more

It works, and if it works it works.

You get what you bought. A solid ABY to place in your pedalboard. Either to connect it to 2 amps or to select between 2 guitars.

I guess you can use it for other instruments or applications as well.

The star missing in quality is for the loud noise when pressing. Not the pop in the sound as that is to be expected in most ABY connections. But since it's all mechanical and has nothing to buffer the impact of metal on metal, there is a somewhat audible noite when pressing on it.

Value for money

Looks like a copy of another ABY box which costs twice as much. Recommended for those on a tight budget.
