So far, so awesome

Love this sexy little beast. Awesome in black and great travel companion. No sharp fret edges, a little fret buzz and oh those tuners! Sounds great as standard but gonna need to isolate that P pick-up lobster style.

The only person on earth who doesn't mind the lack of a three way switch

I seem to be the only person on earth who is not complaining about the inability to switch between pickups. I actually think it fits the simplicity of the bass really well. I view the PJ setup as one big pickup on this bass. If I ever want more tonal versatility, I can always buy a J-style wiring kit and go to town on the control plate.

Overall this bass is really nice, I like the tone of the pickups, the feel of the neck and the bass feels well-built overall. However, I ordered two, hoping both would be good enough to keep. The second (Seafoam Green) one wasn't as good as this black on unfortunately. So I returned it. I might take another shot at a second one soon, because at this price, I would love to have twins.

MV-4MSB Gotoh BK

I bought this to see how I would get on with a short scale, and to try something lighter than my jazz bass, well I took it to a New Year’s Eve gig to try it out, and played it all night! All I did was put a little relief on the neck, which was a little flat, and a quick check of the intonation, and that was it! This little guitar punches way above its weight and price point. Terrific value for money!
