Even better than expected

I have numerous short scale basses & I used to own a Fender PJ Mustang which was rather disappointing both sound wise & quality wise. I was looking for a lighter alternative to my existing basses so decided to take the plunge and by one of these.

The bass arrived on the day of my band rehearsal so I didn't have time to try it beforehand. I unpacked it & took it along to rehearsal that evening and have to say that it sounded great, it is lighter than a lot of my other basses and it was really very well set up out of the box.

It probably needs a slight tweak to the intonation on the G and D stings but other than that fit and finish are superb - it looks great in Daphne Blue and I couldn't find any blemishes anywhere. The frets are nicely finished and it plays really well. I think I will be purchasing another as a back up. The lack of a pickup selector switch doesn't bother me but is probably the only slight disadvantage to this bass.
