Best PJ for the buck!

I ordered it just for a spare 4-string bass for my lessons and I am really suprised by the sound and quality of this instrument. The body is a beautiful matte black, it's lightweight, the neck is comfortable. 10 years ago most cheap basses were really bad. I'm glad Harley Benton joined the game and improved so much!

Amazing Bass

I was looking for a second bass for myself and found the "Harley Benton PJ-4 SBK Deluxe Series". Result: Excellent. It is truly a perfect price and performance product.

Great sound for the price

I was a bit unsure whether I should get this as my first bass or go for a more famous and potentially reliable option, but I never regretted getting this. It gave me the comfort to try this kind of instrument for a low price, and at the same time provide a good sound which I even use in my records

very good as a modding platform, but really doesnt need it, plays fine,sounds good,like most basses of this type its simple and easy.

Pretty awesome out of the box.

After ordering a baritone and receiving it damaged by UPS, I ordered this instead with my store credit.

I have to say, pretty impressed with the quality, if I compare it with my other HB that I have (te-20 HH), which I bought in 2020.

The setup was pretty close on it, just a bit more work on the intonation and its good. The issues I had out the box were:

- the volume pot for the J pickup was not fully tightly screwed. This was not really a problem, as I needed to unscrew the pots anyway, to remove all of the plastic protection they shipped it with.

- the jack was loose as well, just like the pot

- One of the tuner had a loose screw that stuck out about 4 mm, so it was really visible, not really sure how the QC missed that.

I like this, I have a feeling this will remain stock for a while, not like my TE-20 that I had to mod, to fix issues.

Dark Beauty

I recently just received this Bass in the mail and let me tell you, this bass for amount of money far outweighs itself in performance. With minimal to almost no buzz, this bass is an excellent choice for intermediate bass players who want a better sound without breaking the bank!

Amazing instrument

I´m a guitarist with already a few HB guitars and am very happy with them. So far I hadn't tried to play bass and didn't want to because you know, "bass does not sound". I decided to experiment so I bought this bass after watching some videos on youtube and reading some posts on bass player blogs. Best choice ever. A month later I´m still amazed by the quality of this bass. It´s so much fun to play it that I´m already playing songs with a level that never crossed my mind. If you are new, don't want to spend a lot of money and want a sure bet, this is your bass. The sound is very good (I may change the pups in the future and strings for sure, but no rush at all), it came almost ready to play just out of the box, it s very beautiful and very comfortable (now my guitars feel weird!), and keeps the tunning very well. Have fun!

As good as any Fender bass I own

I will be honest, I bought this bass on a whim. I had recently bought 2 other Harley Benton basses and was quite impressed by how good they played/sounded. So when I saw this satin black PJ bass I couldn’t say no.

I own 6 fender basses and this bass plays and sounds as good if not better than some of them. Straight out of the box it was ready to go after a quick tuning. No set up needed. The combination of P bass and jazz pickups with individual volumes with a tone knob gives the ability to get any possible tone you desire.

Whether it’s your 1st bass or your 12th you will find this bass is a serious quality instrument. I highly recommend you consider picking one up today.

A satisfied learner

I'm a novice on bass so I can't give an expert opinion. However what I can say is that the finish appears impeccable, it was easy to tune and seems to be relatively easy to play with little or no fret buzz. For a beginner, at this price, I think it's a great deal.

Sexy Beast

The flat black finish and matching head say, look out! Bad ass bass coming through. And so does the sound. Another H/B Bass perfect out of the box. One minute to tune up and I was playing, an hour later, I was still playing. No complex set up, I tuned it and played it and I love it already. What's next H/B? Keep em coming!
