I was worried about the finish and quality, but when I saw it in person, I liked the quality and sound very much. I'm going to order one more les paul now. Harly Benton is the best
Prima für den Preis
Ich habe zwei SC-450plus - eine LD und eine VB. Beide sind sehr gut verarbeitet. Kein problem mit die Qualität.
Brilliant guitar
This guitar was the first i bought from hb, so i thought it would be lower quality due to the price. But i was really surprised when i saw cause it looked and played great, ive since bought 2 more guitars from them and the quality was the exact same surprisingly high standard.
Good for beginers and advanced players
Very well built and comftable for playing.
Very impressed
After reading several reviews talking about their guitars showing up on rough shape needing to be extensively set up I was worried. But this guitar showed up in basically perfect condition ready to play right out of the box. It was delivered on time and showed no signs of being beat up on its journey to the US. Will definitely be buying more Harley Benton’s.
Fantastic guitar for the money
I couldn’t afford a ‘real’ Les Paul, but after playing this for a while I wouldn’t swap it.
It’s so playable. Intonation is perfect, action nice and low (as I like it)
The tone is amazing & so controllable. Couldn’t imagine a better guitar for me, and the price is a huge bonus.
Top guitar !!
Perfect finish,great sounding,fast delivery
Perfect for price
What a guitar, the sound, look, how it played. Perfect for the price you’d pay for this guitar. So good for someone buying they’re first.
Amazing les paul style guitar,,,,my first Harley Benton
Beautiful guitar,,,authentic looking les paul style. Packaging was great, no damages(double boxed). Neck was set well, string height good, beautiful curly maple top and love the color. Played well. Sounds great. Only negative was the bridge pickup did not work at all. I removed the back plate access to the toggle switch. Didnt see anything ..i.e. loose wires bad contact...moved toggle switch back and forth many times. Plugged guitar into amp and worked fine. Put the plate back on and good to go. I have had switches on other brand guitars do this. NO BIGGEE!! Overall great guitar and great value for your money. Thanks
Great guitar
All i need to do was a set-up, as u do with all my guitars, and file a couple of fret ends( five minutes work)
This is a really good instrument
Highly recommended
Good looking guitar, awfull fretwork!
This guitar looks really good and has a decent sound that most people will be happy with, bit it does have a few issues. Firstly the finish has a couple of small pin sized dents on the front and back of the guitar. The nut has been cut slightly to small so there is a gap on the one side. There is a slight chip in the lacquer on the fretboard binding. This is all minor imperfections and tbf is hardly noticeable, but what is noticeable is how awfull the frets are. As soon as I picked it up and tuned it you can feel how rough the frets are. Anytime you bend a string it just grinds and bites into the frets. Going to give it a good polish and hopefully that helps. Also needed setting up correctly, no issue if you know what you're doing , but for someone who is new or doesn't know may be a bit overwhelmed. Even with the fret issue it's still good guitar for the price, just be prepared to put some work into the frets when you get it.
Pretty nice guitar...
I really like this guitar. I've heard that, if you want to work on guitars, Harley Benton is a good choice, because they are so cheap, but the woodworking is great. Mine needed a bit of setup, because the strings were high, but I got my screwdriver and Allen wrench, and I was able to get the string height to a level that was comparable to my Gibson traditional Les Paul. The size and dimensions are actually very close to my Gibson. It's fun to play. The pickups are a little harsher than my Gibson, but I can adjust my settings and find something I'm happy with.
Not bad for such an affordable guitar. The tuning machines are a little sketchy, but I bought some new tuning machines, and I'm going to switch them out at some point. The only things I can complain about really are that the veneer was coming up by the neck, (you'd have to look very closely to notice it) and it was cracking a little around the screw hole underneath the pick guard. Both of them are out of view, and you'd have to look very closely to notice that. Other than that, the color was called "lemondrop," but it looks more like cheddar cheese. Over all, these complaints don't make me unhappy, because of the price of this guitar. I'm going to take it out to some open mic nights soon. The only other thing I can nitpick about is that the tone and volume knobs don't have an indicator for where "zero" is. So, if you turn the volume up to "five," you turn the knob, but what are you lining the numbers up with? No indicator... I took a marker and made a little dot underneath the knob to keep track of the point that I'm lining the volume number up with... Anyway, aside from a few minor complaints, I like this guitar. I put some thin strings on it, and it's extremely playable.
Excelent value cor the mone,
For that price you can't realy get much better.
It came with a small scratch but nothing realy serious to be returned. Solid instrument and I am quite surprised with such a nice sound. Once I get back in sadle I will go for something more serious. Fantastic for hawing a nice afternoon at home.
My third SC450Plus. Says it all.
I liked the previous two so much that I had to have this gorgeous Lemon Drop version.
Stretched the strings, lowered the action and tuned it up. Fantastic.
No fret buzz, sprout or sharp ends.
Finish is immaculate but for a slight forward tilting of the tailpiece studs.
Can’t fault the tuners.
A joy to play.
Best budget friendly SC
Bought this as my first guitar, exceeded my expectations.. The finish is really nice, coil splitting works good. Sounds great, not too thin tone.
Overall great budget guitar.
All is good
It'll be very good, if there will be delivery to Ukraine
Looks & plays great !
Can't fault this guitar - excellent !
Another winner
I was looking for a replacement LP style guitar and after reading many reviews of various makes/models within my price range I kept coming back to this model and I must say I was not disappointed.
It is a beautiful looking instrument, not to heavy and the wiring arrangement for the pick ups to me gives it an all round appeal in terms of playability with flexibility,
I will however admit that it was not all unicorns and rainbows. The fingerboard was very dry and required several TLC sessions ranging from deep cleaning to oiling over the space of a few days to bring it back to life and the frets needed some heavy duty polishing to remove what ever had built up on them by the time it got to me but I'm glad to say that its all good now.
As a personal preference, although there is nothing actually wrong with them I will be replacing the humbuckers for the ones from my previous guitar as I prefer their sound better.
If you are after a well made, reasonably price LP style guitar then I would seriously consider this model.
Happy Harleydays
Received my SC 450plus LD yesterday.
How can a guitar be this good for that price.
Am I dreaming?
For the price
Fair enough one of the holes for the machine heads was a bit off so the ferrule doesn't sit flush, needs a fret polish (no probs there)Plays great, looks great and sounds ace.Back in the day cheap guitars were made of pallet wood and fence wire,it's good to see they have improved.
