wow
I'm a beginner and recently purchased a budget guitar and knew it was missing quality. I seen reviews of the guitar on the internet so I purchased one for myself. Let me tell you wow it is pure quality I love it and I highly recommend it to beginners and seasoned guitarist you will love it too.
Super Value
Probably the best budget Guitar on the market.
Craftsmanship is high and playability and sound are fantastic.
If your looking at these instruments you wont be disappointed, they are Super Value and a good quality Guitar.
Lotta bang for the buck
I'll start out by saying I wished my order would have came sooner.but when I received it holy crap. The guitar is much more than what I was expecting. Its a lot thicker and heavier than what I was expecting. You can tell its of quality and the sound will blow you mind.the pickups are so clear and have a lot of presence. Buy one you won't regret it
I'm very disappointed!
I bought a Class A Guitar But it looks like Class B
That I got.
The factory paste Ugly black stickers Under potentiometers,I tried to get the Knobs outside
To remove the sticker But the knob does not go out,I'm sure that-factory paste it with strong glue,I tried to get out the four buttons, but it seems that all four are glued tight.
At the end I tried to pull the knob with pliers And he broke down, knob came out with his metal leg,
I got a shock And to see if what I think is right I took two pliers,
One grabbed the metal leg of the knob And the other grabbing the knob body and I pulled hard
But knob does not go out,
knob
Must come out with a slight tug of the fingers,
I bought a poor quality guitar With
Ugly stickers Under potentiometers And garbage electronics.
Now I'm sorry that I bought it And I have to send it to expensive Repair.
I am very very very disappointed and my soul cries to the sky.
Great Value for money
Great guitar with solid build and not a cheap feel. The tone is great. It hasnt the bets setup and it was out of tune. With a nice setup it really rocks. Worths the money.
A whole lotta bang for your buck!
As the title suggests, this guitar is absolutely phenomenal for its price.
As a guitarist with a habit of wanting many different guitars to keep a variety in my arsenal of axes, it was, and still is, a very strange experience to have this guitar, but im loving every second of it to this day.
Why? Because it is one of the ONLY guitars that wont ever leave my side if its up to me!
As the descriptions tells you, you have a lot of great features for the price. If you ever felt the need to give a cheaper brand a go, this beauty will make you regret you never did it sooner.
The pro's:
-Wilkinson vintage pickups!
-great sustain
-sturdy neck, despite the design to save wood.
-tuners dont give easily to stress, keeping the strings in tune very well
-great playability if you like a fat neck. If you always play thin necks, dont worry, you will get used to this neck fairly quick.
-did i mention Wilkinson vintage pickups?
Cons:
-perhaps the top could have been better aesthetically, but not a real con for me since it looks beautiful to me.
Conclusion: buy it!
Worth the reviews
These truely are good value for money. I wouldnt say they are as good as a £3000 les paul custom but then im not sure that the gibson is actually £2800 better!
Feels well made and solid, no flaws after a good set up and i chose to change the bridge saddles and tuning pegs its a great guitar. the stock pickups once again are not as good as the real deal gibsons but they are VERY good indeed so i guess it comes down to what you want a gibson that costs a lot but is the real deal (hoping you get a good one!) Or a guitar that many wouldnt be able to tell that its not the real deal and a whole lot cheaper.
not really sure i can think of a con to all the pros the only thing i would say is its not quite as good as the real thing.. but with a blindfold on i'd be hard pressed to tell you which one was which
Most underrated ever?
So I ordered this guitar out of pure curiosity and the massive amount of good reviews it has. Besides that it looks killer!
I love how thick this neck is and the full, rich and beefy sound the mahogany body gives. Honestly it can keep up with my Lee Malia signature which is my main. Still is and always will even though I've played supremes. And if this guitar doesn't come second in my list well it got to be darn close. Alright I am exaggerating a little bit, but for the price being? Nothing can beat it. I mean 160 euros for this? I've payed much more for the same quality!
So, where's the catch? Alright, I got to play around a bit and changed strings few times, drop the tuning etc etc... And here's the only mistake that bothers me. Suddenly I've got fretbuzz out of nowhere, like really bad and the thing is it's not because of the frets. How do I know that? Well, it only happened to my B string. I've figure out that my nut was cut to deep for my B string, not out of the factory but because I was tuning and detuning so much. So the nut was just poor quality but hey, spend another 10 euros more and you'll get a nut for a lifetime.
Secondly, 'cause I'm a bit perfectionist I've noticed that the middle of my flamed maple isn't the middle of my guitar. They fucked up a bit in the factory, but it's alright I can live with that. If you look closely, between the pick ups it should be fine. Once you've got past the bridge it start to take a turn which I find it funny now.
In summary:
Super great guitar for the price. Nice sound, great play ability, nice set up straight out of the box, etc... Beware that at this price point you might get into trouble with one or some of the components. Chinese factory tend to care less about perfecting the finish, but I would still recommend this to friends and family and hell even a fucking stranger.
Unbeatable at this price
What a fantastic guitar. It arrived rapidly and was very well set up, ready to play and in perfect condition.
I have owned and gigged 3 Gibson Les Paul's and whilst this model can not claim to match a 1,700 euro Gibson it is certainly worth at least 4 times the 140 euros i paid for it.
It plays and handles beautifully and sounds and feels great.
The finish is stunning and the whole package is well made and feels as though it would stand up to some serious gigging.
I will definately be ordering another model from this range in the near future.
An absolute bargain
This is probably the best £115 I have ever spent.
This is my second Harley Benton I have purchased in a couple of weeks. I received it yesterday expecting some issues but I can't find a thing wrong with it. Intonation was spot on , just lowered the string height a tad, tweeked the neck relief and been rocking for hours.
My previous purchase a CST 24 Tol has the same pickups which I found a little too warm so changed them out for brighter pups.
I was expecting to do the same here but in this guitar they sound perfect so will be keeping them in place.
The guitar has a nice weight and neck profile , practically the same as my Les Paul Classic and not far off in terms
of sound. Have been playing it through a cranked up Marshall and can't put it down.
It makes me question the thousands of pounds I have spent on my guitar collection. I will definitely be buying some more HB guitars, just got to find some room.
Good Value for Money
I was not impressed with the quality of Harley Benton?s old-shape LP copy, but they seem to have learnt from the past. This is a quality guitar. The body is a two-piece mahogany with a nice flamed top. The neck looks to be three piece, but feels good in the hand. Unlike the first generation, the binding and frets are smooth, with no sharp ends, or the binding coming off. The action is low out of the box and plays well without any setting up. The sound can be a little dark, and the pickups a touch harsh. Rolling back the volume takes some of the bite off the output. Quality wise, the guitar is as good as one would expect for the money. There are some minor imperfections under the lacquer, and around the binding. The plastic feels and looks cheap. Taking the pick guard off really improves the aesthetics. The tone and volume knobs sit several millimeters above the body, which isn?t a good look, but unlike the previous generation, there?s no play, and they turn like they should.
I would recommend this guitar to people who want an introduction to LP style guitars, but don?t want to spend a lot of money.
Incredible guitar for the price!
When the new Harley Benton SC series was introduced I was a bit put off that they changed the shape of the body and the heel but now I love it! The high notes is far more accessible than it is on my L-500 that has the fat Les Paul style heel.
The finish is really god with just some minor flaws around the binding.
The threaded inserts is not counterbore into the body which I already knew before ordering so I took it with me to work where I could do a perfect counterbore which really enhanced the look. In the process I noticed that the flamed maple top seems to be a veneer glued on to the maple top but that was expected for such a low priced guitar.
The nut is some kind of delrin/nylon that is made really good. I intendet to put on a tusq nut as I did on my Harley Benton L-500 that had cheap plastic nut. I ended up putting the delrin nut back on after using the tusq nut for a few days since tuning the guitar was smoother with the delrin nut.
The neck has a really tiny twist in it which gives i a tiny bit more relief on the low E-string side but it´s so small it does not affect how it performs and it´s so small that a little fret levelling would do the trick.
The fret job seems to be really good with all the frets seated as they should.
The pickups sounds really good and warm and is great for clean to hard rock sound.
WOW
What can I say, I ordered this guitar on a Friday afternoon and I had it in my hand the next morning the fastest delivery ever. They say a guitar is all about feel and I have to say I have owned a Yamaha RGX420 which is a very well made guitar and I've had more fun with this SC 450 than the the last year and a half with the Yamaha. This puts a smile on your face, sounds good ( for the money ), is well made and looks beautiful.I was expecting a cheap guitar and got a bundle of joy!
