Harley Benton ST-20HSS CA Standard Series Reviews
Quality VFM product
Excellent guitar for new musicians, it sounds better that I expected and the overall quality was impressive regarding the price of it.
The pick ups create quite clean and high quality sound ,the fretboard is quite "easy" and "fast" and the color of the guitar is pearlescent which makes it very beautiful, more than it shows in the pictures.
Very satisfied with the purchase, definitely a value for money musical instrument , fully recommend for beginners.
Stay away
Not this one, i know 80-100 euros sounds tempting but not this model. Spend a bit more and get the ST-62 versions.
Huge difference between them. This comes as s..t.
Fret work was not playable at all. Some frets were popped out, string were stucking underneath, they were sharp, bad cutting and so on.
Neck was okish but not comfortable, intonation and bridge etc were awful.
Pickups are bad too, compare to 62, ( those are good)
Body wasnt cleaned at all, all the wood residues, paint residues were there when i take off the pickguard.
I'd suggest staying away and go for the vintage or 62 model. That's much, much better, Cleaner, better neck, better playability.
overall great guitar
I'm in love with how this guitar looks, plays and feels ! I can play various styles with this guitar. The finish is great and the body is very light.
Only issue I had was with the fret ends being too sharp, but you can fix them by sanding the ends.
The guitar arrived, but there is something like paint peeling off under the body, other than that, everything is fine.
Really nice guitar
Got this as my first guitar and its really versatile. The quality is amazing for the price.
An Amazing Starter Guitar!
As a beginner guitar player, I was looking for an affordable and reliable electric guitar to start my musical journey with. I came across the Harley Benton ST-20HSS CA Standard Series, and let me tell you, this guitar is absolutely amazing!
The build quality of this guitar is impressive considering its price point. The poplar body and maple neck feel sturdy, and the candy apple red finish really pops! The fretboard is smooth and easy to play, and the dot inlays make navigating the 22 frets a breeze.
But what really sets this guitar apart is how great it sounds for the price. The combination of 1 humbucker and 2 single coil pickups provide a range of tonal options, and the volume and tone controls allow for even more customization. The synchronized tremolo gives a nice touch of vibrato, and the enclosed geared machine heads keep tuning stable.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Harley Benton ST-20HSS CA Standard Series. It's an excellent value for the price, and as a beginner, it has everything I need to explore my musical potential. If you're in the market for an affordable and high-quality electric guitar, I highly recommend giving this one a try!
after 1 Year having noise i the sound
Nice Fingerboard
Great finish. Overall I am extremely happy with this guitar.
Wow... Nothing else to say.
A friend of mine recommended Harley Benton... He was raving about them. I thought he was crazy. I bought one st20hss. It's awesome. My only negative is that you really need a noise gate... Other than that it is AWESOME right out of the box... also needs a good set elixir strings. I have been playing guitar for many years. I played it until I blistered my middle finger. Highly recommended to any one regardless of player level beginner to advanced. Thanks HB for such a quality product for such a low price. Mine is candy apple red. The finish and playability is top notch. Thanks again HB.
im in love
im in love with guitar. great colour. great quality. great sound. great price. thankyou !!!
incredible much guitar for very little money
After changing pickups and leveling the frets a little, this is on of the best Stratocaster I have ever owned, and I had a couple of fenders and squires, latest an Affinity Hss, this HB 20hss beat them all... Amazing for the price
Its okay,i have some problems with fretboard after some month of playing
Just fine
Nice looking guitar, but not so good quality, especially beginners, avoid it.
I purchased it as a third guitar, just for fun, and after the set-up:
the neck feels weird touching it, the material doesn't make it easy at all to play a song with bendings, hammer-ons, pull-offs etc
the switch does make a little bit of noise when switching between pickups
Also, the frets are in a bad quality, and the guitar is brand new, so they must be really cheap.
(I dont think the machine heads are capable so much to keep it tuned for long-time periods, but I will edit this again when I find out)
The strings that came with it , were completely garbage.
But anyway, it costed me 103 euros, so what exaclty did I expect? :P
Most of the times, you get what you pay for ;)
For that price, I believe it's fine.
Great budget EG.
At this price point, I have nothing to complain about.
It is not meant for any pro guitar player.
The tone, touch and the action may not be the greatest.
But I simply use it to teach myself guitar and learn about maintenance.
I wouldn't feel hurt if it breaks anytime.
excellent instrument ð¥ð¯
It's a great guitar and I like it immensely. It has a blue soul.
You really should buy one for yourself. Go ahead, don't be shy.
Get on with it... you will not regret it.
Enjoy your music! Make it often...
My girlfriend loves it
My girlfriends wanted to learn guitar so I got this for her as a gift. She loves it. Honestly it sounds really good, especially for the price. As far as I can tell at least.
Another excellent addition
The quality and price has to be 5* … the sound is on a par with Squier guitar products… overall an excellent quality guitar
Really good
After about six months of playing this guitar, I can say that it is worth much more than it costs.
Pros:
Neck is nice and comfortable to play. Beautiful flawless finish. And it is just good overall.
Cons:
1. Low frets of 1 mm. For me it is low because of my nails type. My acoustic with 1.2 mm frets is more comfortable to play in some cases.
2. The neck is slightly raised up in the plane of the soundboard. It doesn't affect playability though.
For the price it is more then what I've expected
cheap but well made
The sound is ok, quite good
Really good
Great guitar for a beginner
