Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series 5-stars Reviews
Absolutely beautiful ST style!!!!
Especially for this price, I could never have imagined such a fine instrument!
I can't understand the difference!!
I can't understand the difference between an overpriced guitar with this beauty! Harley Benton Surprise me every time also with the new patent with round frets!
Very much pleasantly surprised.
I am truly blown away by the quality of this guitar. I own "economy" models of way more expensive brands where fit and finish is not even close to this. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention brand names here, but let's say I have a couple guitars that imitate classics of their parent brand and give you a certain vibe.. The electronics aren't great. The pickups are ok, but nothing more.. but you could buy this guitar and a fully loaded fender plate with custom shop pickups and still come in cheaper than a squire.. the metal andnwoodnon this is nothing short of great. Harley Benton has come a long way and the fact they can still offer instruments at this rediculously low price while still improving quality is mind boggling.
This Guitar is just perfect!
I bought this guitar for my second guitar and it goes my first guitar. I have a Gretsch electromatic with humbuckers and just want to play some single coil strat sometimes. Bro this guitar is so well made and itâs really sounding pretty good. No issues, just a little point-sized defect with a paint on body. Itâs not a big deal so I decided to keep it like that. You will not find better Start at this price!!! Go Buy it!
Simply Fantastic, unbelievable sound and value
This guitar is just what you need - it sounds like a strat, looks like a strat, and nearly feels like a Strat! I get compliments every gig! a phenomenal instrument for the price point!
The pictures on the web doesn´t make justice to this beauty!
It´s a beautiful instrument and looks a whole lot better in person. The grain on the rosted maple neck is amazing! The sound is powerful and everyone that has seen the guitar it´s amazed by the looks on it. It sure looks like a $2,000 USD instrument!
The best for less
My Harley Bentons are musical art. They play every bit as good as they look. Reliable tuning even with the tremolo bar. metals don't pit. Economical buy from the brand whose reputation and value keeps rising. I keep thinking that this can't last but I have six of them and the total I've paid for them is less than what I paid for my 86 Gibson 335.
melted butter...
That's how it plays, like butter. The neck plays so good it's unbelievable. It looks great and the workmanship is flawless. The single coil pickups screem when you want them to but they don't have to if you choose a cleaner tone. Get one for yourself. No mods needed. She's ready to go.
Great Value
It feels like a guitar 3 to 4 times its price.
great strat
i have had my share with startocasters and this one was a overwhelming
i didnt think that in this price range i will get such a good guitar
the build quality is great with amazing details
and the sound was better then a few fender brand stratocaster i played
and to top it all the guitar looks beautiful with all the gold
Amazing Value
I bought this guitar to play around the house and practice luthier-type work, but it was very playable out of the box and incredibly well built. All I can say is that it's made to last and after playing around with the wiring (replaced the pots with a no-load pickup blender and Push/Pull tone with dual capacitors) it's insanely versatile and fun to play. Definitely try the dan Armstrong mod if you want some insane sounds from the Rosewell pickups. Even if you arent trying to mod this guitar it's still a great buy. Oh and I almost forgot, the neck is great. I looked up many reviews before stating how fat the neck is but it's not bad at all very comfortable IMO.
Amazing value for money
It was a bit of a gamble getting this guitar, considering that I was not familiar with playing Harley Bentons. Having read the reviews I was happy to go out on a limp and get it, and I am very happy with this decision.
Basically, if you're looking for a 400-500 EUR Fender stratocaster but can't afford it, this is as close you can get for 200 EUR.
Pros:
- Really fat neck
- Pickups were better than expected.
- Looks much better in real life than in the pictures as the pick guard is like a faded gold.
Cons:
- It required a little bit of tweaking before it reaches ''full potential'' to play on, but this can be done within 15 minutes and is fine for me considering the price.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this as a starter guitar, a modest expansion of your current guitar collection or even as a gift. Great value for money.
good but the fretwork is appalling on mine
For a more expensive 'vintage series', the fretwork is appalling compared to other cheaper HBs I have, and I also have lots of Fenders etc (which also sometimes have the same problem by the way). Must polish them if you don't want blood on your fingers.
Otherwise, it looks and sounds great. Pity for the fretwork.
Anyway sounds cannot be better, so take cool design
well even the design is not original,
but it is usable guitar
Usually harley benton guitars do not disappoint you
My wammy bar broke off,but i still love it it has a realy good sound to it!
(4.5 rounded up) Fantastic Guitar
I'm mainly a hollow-body/humbucker jazz guy but I recently landed a gig that required an s-type guitar that was specifically requested from the MD of the band. I had one already and needed a backup. This was that guitar.
Build:
In terms of build quality I was pleasantly surprised by how well this guitar felt. I can't say it can compare to my more expensive pleked guitars but I won't deny it, this thing can hold up against any of my Indonesian made guitars! No sharp fret ends, leveled frets and came set up well (slightly high for my taste). Fit and Finish is good.
Sound:
These Roswell pickups are better than any pickups in any other guitars by any other manufacturers at this price point; big or small. I was certain I would need to upgrade them at some point but I'm honestly happy enough to keep 'em. They aren't noise cancelling or anything to write home about but if you're seeking that s-type sound, this'll do it. If you're interested in hearing the guitar, I've played it on my Instagram account. @chrismedinamusic
All in all, this guitar is well worth the price tag and I can recommend it!
Good surprise!
For this price thats one of the best electro guitar! And look cute! Thanks
Excellent guitar to begin
I've bought this guitar as a beginner so the review is aimed to people who being and for who this guitar will be their first.
It's a great instrument, very easy to get used to and pleasant to play.
I' recommend getting a bit of lubricant on the head of the guitar where the strings are attached and in the tremolo bar as well. Otherwise, amazing guitar and also a great decorative object haha
Overall good guitar and I totally recommend buying one
I bought this guitar recently and all I can say that is a good guitar.
The sound is good and it does meets the requirements for the price. The Roswell pickups are not one of the best but definitely not the worst.
The guitar construction is solid and the neck slightly on the chunky side but for me its fine since I have larger hands and it feels comfortable.
The fretwork is done perfectly and the neck feeling is smooth.
The tuning machines are OK and the tremolo is slightly stiff but its usable.
The only thing that I didn't like about this guitar is that the hole for the nut is not equally processed and on one side I can see spacing, but this not necessarily means it is a generic design issue.
The frets needed additional polishing as well.
Overall its a good guitar for the money and I really do enjoy playing on it.
Love this fat neck strat
Love everything about this strat type guitar, especially the big neck, plays really well, good build no problems..reallly enjoy it
