Good for its price

They forgot to send the tremolo. Nut lower than normal so it’s a problem but overall it has a good quality

Ok vintage vibes.

Not sure if I got a slightly poor one , but this was not great out of the box . Scratch frets, fret sprout , strings were so high it was unplayable. Admittedly it was super cheap , but this was worse than an entry level squire or starter pack . Looks and sound wise I absolutely cannot fault it , but it took a few hours or work to get some basics sorted that should have been caught before it left the shop . A bit Disapointing this one on arrival. With the work , it is however a great guitar . I expected more .

Very much pleasantly surprised.

I am truly blown away by the quality of this guitar. I own "economy" models of way more expensive brands where fit and finish is not even close to this. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention brand names here, but let's say I have a couple guitars that imitate classics of their parent brand and give you a certain vibe.. The electronics aren't great. The pickups are ok, but nothing more.. but you could buy this guitar and a fully loaded fender plate with custom shop pickups and still come in cheaper than a squire.. the metal andnwoodnon this is nothing short of great. Harley Benton has come a long way and the fact they can still offer instruments at this rediculously low price while still improving quality is mind boggling.

This Guitar is just perfect!

I bought this guitar for my second guitar and it goes my first guitar. I have a Gretsch electromatic with humbuckers and just want to play some single coil strat sometimes. Bro this guitar is so well made and it’s really sounding pretty good. No issues, just a little point-sized defect with a paint on body. It’s not a big deal so I decided to keep it like that. You will not find better Start at this price!!! Go Buy it!

Amazing for the price!

Before I found out about Harley Benton I was looking to buy a beginner electric guitar from some more well known “name brand” companies. Then a good friend of mine told me that I shouldn’t waste all my money on an ridiculously expensive name brand beginner guitar and just get a Harley Benton since they’re a third of the price and just as good quality-wise. I was obviously skeptical at first but I bought it and from the moment I first held it, I was in love. No purchase has ever felt as good as that. Obviously it’s not a perfect super high end guitar but the reason it’s worth it is because of how affordable and well made it is. I highly recommend these guitars for any range of players, and can’t wait to get my next one!

Beautiful orange gold strat

I initially picked Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW because it was so unique in color and features and BEAUTIFUL that I had to give it a try. The guitar was priced so gently, I decided to give it a go as a 3 pc order to save on shipping. I already have a Fender strat that I love to play but I found of this strat with the Roswell pick ups, also had a very unique sound that I use to record alongside my Fender to give me a more complete and feeling sound. It also works very well with distortion In short, I have 3 Harley Benton guitars and each one has been a new learning experience for me. The roasted maple neck and smooth body gave me comfort where I didn’t realize it was needed and that helps me play differently and be more creative than on my other guitars.

Simply Fantastic, unbelievable sound and value

This guitar is just what you need - it sounds like a strat, looks like a strat, and nearly feels like a Strat! I get compliments every gig! a phenomenal instrument for the price point!

The pictures on the web doesn´t make justice to this beauty!

It´s a beautiful instrument and looks a whole lot better in person. The grain on the rosted maple neck is amazing! The sound is powerful and everyone that has seen the guitar it´s amazed by the looks on it. It sure looks like a $2,000 USD instrument!

The best for less

My Harley Bentons are musical art. They play every bit as good as they look. Reliable tuning even with the tremolo bar. metals don't pit. Economical buy from the brand whose reputation and value keeps rising. I keep thinking that this can't last but I have six of them and the total I've paid for them is less than what I paid for my 86 Gibson 335.

melted butter...

That's how it plays, like butter. The neck plays so good it's unbelievable. It looks great and the workmanship is flawless. The single coil pickups screem when you want them to but they don't have to if you choose a cleaner tone. Get one for yourself. No mods needed. She's ready to go.

Cant hold a Tune

I really wanted to like this guitar, the neck feels great and it looks great. But...

It cant stay tuned to save its life. During set up, it was impossible to get intonation within 20hz.

I spent hours on this guitar trying to fix it.

The bridge screws are obscenely long and will dig on you hand while palm muting.

Also the guitar i received should not have passed quality control, the bridge was barely assembled and you can tell there was no set up what so ever. Some high action is expected in a guitar for this price range, but this was much worse than i could have imagined, there was no care into the Quality of this intruument. Really bummed out, asking for a refund sadly.

Great Value

It feels like a guitar 3 to 4 times its price.

Decent first guitar for a student.

I purchased this guitar for my daughter, it was her first real electric guitar. It's not bad for the money, but I find that it leaves me wanting a little bit more. However I think it's a decent platform for upgrades or modding, which we will probably do in the future. But as it is, her playing has outgrown it and we are getting her an upgrade.

Over the Harley Benton guitars are great value for the money. I have several other Harley Benton's that I love, and they hold their own with more expensive instruments. However, these were more expensive models.

A great Stratocaster copy that doesn't break the wallet

The Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series, as the name implies "deluxe" there are features on this guitar that are quite better than the other cheaper Harley Benton St models. The guitar arrived very well packed and was playable right out of the box, of course only after tuning it. Despite the inexpensive price of 177 Euro, this guitar can compete with more expensive guitars from other brands without any problems. Of course there are Pro’s and as well as Con’s that I will list.

Pros:

- Flawless finish, the guitar tends to be a yellowish cream and the gold plate is just a superb feature, it really makes the guitar shine from a distance;

- Amazing Neck (at least for me), I know that some people might say the neck is rather chunky, but I think it feels amazing , especially if you enjoy playing guitars like Lp’s. The neck is my favorite feature of this guitar;

- Great Frets- previous experience with An Sc custom II and a DC 600 IV have let me a bit disappointed because of the frets that required extra work, but not on this one. The Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series comes with medium jumbo frets and are great for bending!

- Overall balanced feeling in relation with guitar body and neck;

Cons:

- The bridge is not my favorite part of this guitar, I would have rather preferred a 2 pivot style floating tremolo. I would also like to add that the guitar came with “fixed bridge setting, and using the tremolo arm was only possible after tweaking the springs”.

- Pickups, this is debatable because I have only played humbucker style guitars until I got this, but I think the pickups on this Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series could be better.

- Hardware , since the guitar is labeled as a deluxe I think they should put more attention into the hardware department, things like better bridge and good tuning keys. I will most likely change the tuners and the nut ion the following week to come.

The nut is alright, but I already bought a Graph Tech Nut for St-Style to exchange it, new Gotoh SD91-05M Tuners 6L , and Göldo Roller String Tree. I will keep the bridge as long as I can but I will be looking forward to upgrade to a Wilkinson or some sorts.

That being said my verdict is this, IT IS A GOOD GUITAR OUT OF THE BOX! If you are somebody that plays only at home than you might not need all this upgrades, but I tend to use it an extensive manner and maybe to record parts with it. I would suggest Harley Benton takes into consideration my observation and upgrades to a 2 point bridge, better tuning keys, and of course pickups. I would gladly pay more just to have this features on this guitar right out of the box.

Amazing Value

I bought this guitar to play around the house and practice luthier-type work, but it was very playable out of the box and incredibly well built. All I can say is that it's made to last and after playing around with the wiring (replaced the pots with a no-load pickup blender and Push/Pull tone with dual capacitors) it's insanely versatile and fun to play. Definitely try the dan Armstrong mod if you want some insane sounds from the Rosewell pickups. Even if you arent trying to mod this guitar it's still a great buy. Oh and I almost forgot, the neck is great. I looked up many reviews before stating how fat the neck is but it's not bad at all very comfortable IMO.

Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series

its great looking, the neck is satin finish. the single coil pickups are lacking, a lot. i got the sc-450 vintage lemon, and roswell's humbuckers sound great. they dropped the ball on the single coil roswells, need some work imo. and the set up was terrible. also, the bridge allen key , i cant lower the d string because the hex nut is stripped. ill have to replace that, the pickups. i want a strat style to sound like a strat. everything else is nice.

OH yeah, everything is gold, but the back plate. its white. throws it all off. like i said, i like the paul style one i got very much, but this is just weird. i dont know how i feel, its just meh, sucks it doesnt sound stratty. very pretty, thats about it
