Great value

Great guitar for the price - could do with a setup out of the box but a could guitars at all price points. Well worth a spot in anyones collection.

Amazing Budget Telecaster

I got this guitar a few months ago in the summer to add to my collection of electrics - you always need a tele. I loved the colour of the finish and it was a no-question purchase after I watched a video from the GuitarGeek showing off one of the other colours from the same family. The sound is awesome. Another great purchase from Harley Benton

Does the job

A bit of a thicker neck, but it's fine. Needs setup.

Better than you think

This tele is great for everyone looking for a good tele that won’t break the bank. Personally I have been enjoying every second of it. The color is stunning, the fretboard and overall structure of the guitar is great. Of course don’t expect expensive tuners but they work just fine. All in all very satisfied :)

You can't really go wrong - great guitar for the price (even for a higher price)

Just got this today, arrived in less than a week after ordering (EU area) which was impressive given it was over Easter. Nicely packaged, so there was little risk it being damaged in transit.

Out of the box it felt really great, once the strings were tuned up I was playing away quite happily. Intonation was pretty much spot on, only the G is a little out but I'm talking a miniscule amount, to the point where I probably won't even adjust it. Action set up was perfect too, no fret buzz and clear notes when playing up the fretboard.

Fretboard itself is satin finish so if you're used to a gloss finished you may find it a bit dry. I've yet to play it for a few hours so will see what it feels like after that. It may need a little oil. No sharp edges on the frets, and they all seem the right height. Tuners feel solid too and so far are holding the tuning.

Plugged in and run through pedals and an amp, it sounds great. I compared it to my G&L Bluesboy and it's very similar on the bridge pick up, in fact a little brighter, with a fair bit of bite. It doesn't have the beefiness of the G&L on the middle or neck setting, as the G&L has a humbucker in that position, but even still the Harley Benton holds up when using fuzz and distortion. I'm looking forward to getting in the room with my band to see how it sounds.

Looks-wise, it is perfect - the colour is fantastic and the lime green pickguard really shines. The neck is a dark roasted maple which is really set off nicely by the colour. No imperfections as far as I can see, paint work is perfect, and the whole thing is solid and feels good.

Only negative aspect so far is the plastic used to cover the neck pickup, controls, and pick guard - I had to take the pots off to fully remove the plastic, and even at that there's still a bit stuck under that I can't get rid of. I've had that problem with other guitar brands so it's not particular to Harley Benton.

In total, for the price it's a no-brainer. I've owned Fender and Squire telecasters, as well as G&L, and so far this stands up to them in terms of initial feeling and sound. Be a perfect guitar for travelling, or throwing in the back of the van when touring without having to worry too much about it. Definitely suitable for beginners, but I would also encourage experienced guitarists to try this brand - you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Great musical instrument

1. I really liked the production. The color is simply divine. Perfect paint job, smooth neck.

2. Tuners for 3 out of 5. Great for home use.

3. The sound is good.

From the negative

1. I received a musical instrument with uneven frets. At string heights of 2mm and 3mm there is the fret buzz. The support team helped resolve this issue. Frets need to be refinished at a service center.

But reading other reviews I see that such a problem is an exception.

In the end, I will say that I liked the musical instrument. I recommend to buy.

Light... but lovely

So I took the plunge and bought one of these soon after they came out, bit of a Christmas prezzie! Overall I really like it, the colour is lovely - foam green in my case although I nearly went for the pink! Fit and finish are super, nicely set up, sounds great. My only real gripe is that it feels - for me - a little light in the body. I have the TE 30 which has some heft, also a TE 52, same again. These TE 62's are just a tad too light. Also would love a version really like a 62 tele with rosewood (or equivalent) fingerboard. Overall however, well worth £125 of anyone's dosh!

Telecaster surf green

Always wanted a guitar with this colour, maple neck and mint pickguard .

Good guitar for the money.

Set up was spot on out of the box. Only had to tune it of course.

Good paint job.

Good fret work. No sharp edges, no high frets.

Sound pretty good.

Hardware feels good.

The only con is,

The string thru holes where not drilled with equal space from each other and not in a straight line.

I do not understand how they can mess this up.
