out of the box and on stage.
Arrived in the nick of time. Straight outta the packaging and with some very minor tweaks I was playing it live that night. 4 for the features. Does what it says on the tin. 5 for the sound. many different genres. take the time to explore. 5 for the quality. Immaculate finish. Build, body, neck. For less than £200 compared with £1000 and much more.
Super fine Tele shaped
This is the 2nd HB guitar I've ordered. The tele shape and specifically the tele style pickups have always been interesting to me, the TE62 fails to disappoint. sound wise it brings out that kind of familiar twang you have on teles. I can't compare playability but it is overall pretty comfortable, all stock materials are great! it holds tune, sounds fantastic and just really fun to play overall.
Good, but it needs some work
The finish is awesome, altough i'd like to address some issues:
The setup wasn't great out of the box. Had to do some truss rod and action adjustments.
The electronics work, but they're cheap and flimsy.
Pickups are good.
The tuners are very stiff.
Fret work is good. No sharp ends. But they need polishing.
Overall a good guitar for the price and a very good looking mod platform.
Equal to my Fender 62 custom
I've owned a real one for over thirty years and I compared the Harley Benton with the Fender and couldn't separate them for playability & tone, I had three band members listening whilst I did an A/B comparison. From a playing point I felt equally comfortable on both the Fender & the HB and my bandmates said the sound was equal too, after I played the same parts on each guitar. We were all well impressed and I didn't have a lot of setting up to do out of the box, just string heights that's all. The Harley Benton TE-62 DB, Absolutely recommended !
Much Better Than You May Expect
I seriously like that guitar. One of the best among those new affordable line of electric guitars. Best sides of the TE-62DB LPB are;
-) Great natural tone,
-) Problem free fretjob
-) Good level of nut job
-) Good woods,
-) Very nice tone
Something i don't enjoy;
-) Neck pickup (needs and deserves something better)
-) Nut material (too soft plastic)
-) Bridge Material (deserves something better)
-) Pots (i dont enjoy their taper)
For that price, it ireally is a steal! Don't miss it.
Nice T Style Guitar
Very pleased with this order so far. The guitar is solidly constructed and has a really comfortable (and nice looking) neck and a classy double bound body. The colour is lighter than anticipated by the looks of the photos on the site but I like the lighter colour, it also has a metalic flake which is a nice addition. The roasted maple nice is mad at this price point. The frets were well installed and it was comfortable out of the box. The pickups have a typical telecaster style sound but are on the brighter end! They sound really nice once properly adjusted (I particularly like the neck pickup). The pickguard is the cheapest looking part of the guitar but easily replaced. At this price point it is ridiculously good value for money for this specification, if it were another brand it would easily cost 3 x more.
love it
I want the black model now .......sheesh these things are too nice.
Sweet
A great light weight tele,just popped some brass saddles and tusk nut. Another of much dearer guitars are left in rack as this gets plucked.
Looks and plays great!
I’m extremely happy with the sound and feel of this instrument especially at this price point. Love the colour as well.
Superb guitar.
Bought this as I fancied another t type guitar, it's a phenomenal little thing. After initial tuning it played like a dream, intonation was spot on and the action was pretty good from the factory too.
