the best tele out there...hands down!!

i have been playing guitars for the last 40 years, and i have owned very expensive american made teles, by F**der, quite a few of them, actually.....but i will never buy one of those again!

this TE-70RW is THE best tele i have ever laid my hands on!! from fit, to finish, to electronics, to tuning stability, to live sound and recording, you will not find a better deal!!

the finish is flawless, perfect frets, nice, tight controls and knobs, its all just wonderful! its got more of a bite than a traditional tele, and works well from merle haggard tunes all the way to ac/dc, ozzy and beyond!

over the past year i have purchased 6 harley benton guitars, and have not had a problem with any of them! i am spreading the word to all of my player friends in texas about these guitars....get one while you can, you will not have ANY buyer remorse!!

Excellent playing guitar

After minor setup and restringing this guitar plays sound great.

I'm now a believer in HB.

Aside from my first Squier in the mid 90s, I've only owned ESP and Schecters. I'm afraid I like this much cheaper guitar more than those pricier ones. Aside from one tiny paint fleck on the side of the pickguard, everything else is perfect in the fit and finish. I love the neck and I LOVE playing this guitar unplugged, which is how I play about 80% of the time. Plugged in, it sounds fantastic. Clear, ringing, twangy in the bridge and the sustain and resonance! Goodness, it rings in my chest almost like a bass. I'm REALLY impressed and can't wait to buy a single cut LP-HB later on down the line.

By the way, the color and paint are remarkable at least on mine. It's by far the classiest looking guitar I own and my favorite

Surprisingly brilliant

This guitar genuinely baffled me. I thought it being a budget friendly guitar it'd have a lot of issues, and it's sincerely brilliant. I own a lot of guitars and have played a hell of a lot as I'm a guitar teacher and was a music student at uni.

The look of this thing is beautiful, the matching headstock is stunning too

The sound is fantastic, pickups have great clarity - I thought I'd have to switch them out ASAP but I think I'll just keep them in

The only upgrade I think I'd make would be some locking tuners (and maybe a bone nut)

However, the playability of the guitar when it arrived was bad, very bad, with an extremely high action. However after getting it a proper set up it plays like butter, just had to lower the action and adjust the truss rod (do not try this on your own if you don't know what you're doing as you might damage the guitar badly - get it done by a professional)

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't play exactly like my US fender Tele, but it's pretty god damn close and cost £1360 less, it plays better than my Mexican fender strat - don't ask how, as I don't know how either

Will definitely need to get it set up

The neck is slightly sticky with the gloss finish it has, but it's easy enough to work around and doesn't hinder playing

Blows squier out of the water, and on par with Mexican fender at least if not better ( admittedly I may have just gotten really lucky as at this price point there could be issues, but if so you can just send it back)

I'm trying my luck and buying the £88 black strat they do now to see how it holds up, but it probably won't be as good.

This was made in China so I think the guitars coming from Indonesia are better made then the ones coming from China.

Beautiful Guitar

I might be a beginner but this guitar is beautiful. It sounds great and looks great. The finish is amazing and looks better than instruments way more expensive.

Great guitar punches well above its price point

Arrived safely, no damaged. Fantastic sound. Once setup to my preference it was a joy to play. I tend to find you need to spend a good few hours playing a new guitar, get familiar with it. I made some adjustments to the pickup height and the poles,.I prefer to try get the most out of the stock hardware if possible and rarely see the need to change.

Fantastic guitar!!!

I was looking for a Telecaster that would match or rival that of George Harrison's but did not want to break the bank. A friend introduced me to Harley Benton's, saw this model, and ordered it, thinking it's not the exact thing but I'm not George Harrison either! It arrived within the month I ordered it and it's a FANTASTIC guitar!!! After about two years a friend of mine was gassing for a Tele himself so I showed him mine, and he had me order his just a few minutes ago. Wow!!!

Shes a little beauty

Well what can i say , the first time i laid eyes on her i was in love, i found myself repeatly returning to the website checking her every spec of beauty examining every photo at every zoom angle, over and over again. I said to myself , she will be mine , she will love me back and the day will come when we will be united in love forever . I did it, yes i just pushed that button payed the price and the shipping was in motion. Everyday i checked to see where in the world and how far away she was from arriving to my home. It happened , i ran to the door and there it was . A big brown box protecting and delivering my little honey from thousands of miles away. My heart was pumping and almost fainted trying to tear the box open to see my little Beauty. Ripping off every piece of protection wrap on her glorious body the moment had finnaly became reality, she was in my arm she was in my hands she was in my heart. I rushed up to plug her in and wowser, she sang a song for me that i havent been able to get out of my mind since the day she became mine.

Fantastic guitar!

I ordered this and a Squier Telecaster to see which one was better quality and to see which one I like better. The Harley Benton was better in everything, made the Squier look like a cheap, bad quality guitar.

Apart for few finish issues on the body and neck - the guitar arrived in great condition. Action is low. Slight buzz on the high E string on 5 fret. Not noticable when plugged in.

The tuning machines are not good if compared to grovers. But these get the job done.

Cant really complain at this price point. I did not expect such quality from a 160eur instrument. 4.5/5 overall score.

Would i take it again? Yes. Definately.

WIll i purchase Harley Benton guitars in the future? Yes.

freedom to play

I played various guitars, like Gibson SG, Epiphone and Greco Les Pauls, and some cheaper strats. This telecaster is perhaps the first one I have bought brand new, and never regretted that.

I had been choosing between Black Paisley and Rosewood, and finally picked the latter. I like its noble appearance and prefer dark rosewood fretboard to maple.

Before buying, I checked if any musicians use it on stage, and listened to its real sound. The pickups sounding great for the price and consistent with the idea of the telecaster, although they differ from Fender.

Comparing to Squires from local shops, I like HB more, thanks to the deluxe series finishing, even putting aside nearly twice higher Squires price.

The guitar was perfectly packaged and came in ideal condition. It was absolutely playable just out of the box, but the strings were a little higher, than I used to, like 2mm on 12th. I have a lack of experience with this kind of setup, so went to a local guitar workshop to polish the frets and adjust the neck and bridge. I think, this operation is pretty normal for any new guitar, and frets finishing wasn't bad, I have just made sure it's the best possible.

Now I play and record it for half a year, and I think it will take me years to outgrow it, if ever. If your primary goal to express and embody your musical ideas, this is a perfect instrument, pleasant and enjoyable.

I've been wanting a telecaster for ages and this one does not disappoint. Sounds fantastic and plays beautifully.

Lovely flat fretboard and big frets. Not too heavy and looks great.

Highly recommended.
