It is so bright and long life

I bought it six months ago and I'm still happy with it. The strings are still tight and feels new just like firtst day to me.

Great price and performance.

Don't get fooled by its price, this package contains great strings in a very affordable value. I'd rather change bass strings every 3 shows than every 10 shows for the same price. And the sound is great as well!

Harley Benton factory strings.

Cheap, but could harness premature fretwear. Wiring a bit uneven at the ring end. No fabric at the tuner side.

Harley Benton Value Strings Bass 5-String review

Great cheap strings for the bass I keep in the studio to write.

Not the best quality but if you're on a budget they don't feel cheap at all.

Shorter lifespan than other brands, but for the price, can't complain at all.

Very Fine Quality

Fine feel and great sound. Very good strings.

G string broke

They sound fine. But the G string broke when I tried to put it on - I'm not an amateur this shouldn't have happened

Good Backup Strings

As with most cheap strings, they sound great for the first month or so, then quickly lose their sparkle. Good to have as a backup but I wouldn't recommend them in the long run

Not that great

Using cheap strings on guitar can be passable but these are not good, the tension is lower i think as they rattle so you must change the set up of the instrument, they were quite dull right out of the package and didn't last long.

Sounds like old strings

Normally, I really love the harley benton brand, I've got 3 harley benton guitars, numerous pedals and some cables and whatnot. But these bassguitar strings are absolutely terrible they are as dull abrahams knife. They basically sound like old string. The only positive thing i can give about these strings is that they atleast feel nice, but soundwise it would have been better to have left my old strings on there, it didn;t change a thing.

Cheap and awesome.

I'm not a proper bassist but I use a bass guitar for my home recordings, those fit my budget and my use perfectly.

Last enough time with a bit of care.

No cons.

Actually usable

Got them for free because of bundle with no intension toactually use them.

bla bla bla and now I am using them for a little more than month.

At first very trebly and nice - it soon faded. Now they sound like well used rounwounds. Bottom end is a bit messy.

Not bad, usable, short life.

Best of both worlds

Sounds pretty good, is resistant and is cheaper than most. What else could you want?

Great for back up bass

I purchased these for a back up bass which was rarely played. The sound from these strings is crisp and bright and the the low B has plenty of tension.

Nice strings, good value for the price

Strings can be a big part of how the instrument feels, and I am not usually inclined to be a cheapskate when buying them. However, these play as well as other brand strings and really do not cost as much.

Some corners may have been cut, but in the end they just play quite well. I find the tension might be a little lower?and to be perfectly honest, it seems to me that they might be ever-so-slightly thinner than other strings of the same gauge (as advertised on the pack).

This is in no way a deal breaker, though. I mostly install them on my cheaper basses, but now I have a set on a nicer Jazz Bass and they play very well.

They seem to have a very decent lifespan. Perhaps they are not quite as bright as other brands when new, but they do keep their brightness for quite a while.

In conclusion, these are nice strings, could go well on any bass, really, and at this point my only complaint is that they do not do any six string version, which would be nice as nowadays I mainly play a sixer. Other than that, I highly recommend them.

Great bang for your buck!

These Bass Strings are a great value for the money. They sound nice and stay in tune nicely. They don't last as long as Strings that cost 5 times the amount but I think its still a bargain for the price. They feel nice and clear and sound just the same. They don't sound as bright as 30-40¤ Strings but for the average Joe that just wants a new set of strings every so often without dropping 100¤ for a few sets this Set is just for you. They probably sound better that you would image for the price. A recommendation for pretty much everyone who values quality and price over brand names.

Best strings for their price

I change strings on my bass very often and buying expensive strings just to practice is annoying.

These strings are AWESOME.

They sound good, hold well and they are CHEAP. its the ultimate solution for practice and gigging.

Always have a pair of sets in my case and change them with no hesitation.

Unbeatable for Their Price

Bought these strings not expecting much since they were so cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised by what Harley Benton has to offer. I usually put stainless steel strings on my fretted basses and was curious if my Yamaha would retain its growly sound with these value strings. And it did, plus the B string sounded more defined than ever! I believe it is because the thicker three strings are tapered, so they wind around the tuning posts more easily.

I can't comment on the longevity of these strings, but right out of the box they did not sound as zingy as other, more expensive options. It's not a problem for me, but for others looking for that fresh string sound it might be a con, though.

I'll be the first to admit that Harley Benton strings are not as high quality as DR's, Rotosounds or Dunlops which are about 4 or 5 times more expensive, but they don't feel 4x worse. In fact, after putting these strings on it seems foolish to pay 30¤ for a roundwound set again.

Bottom line: if you play well and your bass sounds great, you will still sound good. Highly recommended.

satisfied

Thank you for good quality and price of this product.

Very durable and easy maintenance.

I will certainly do more orders and give to my friends.

You're getting more than the price suggests!

In short, they are surprisingly good strings for the money. I have put the strings on a Yamaha BB1025X that I own and the strings sound even, clear and have a good feel to them. The B-string sounds slightly different from the others, but that may also be related to the Bass on which I put them (unfortunately the B-string on this rather heavy bass isn't great). I will probably buy them again, they are average strings at a very low budget price!
