Harley Benton Valuestrings Bass 40-95 Reviews
Best for the price
Great string in a range of strings 4 to6 ¤. They feel nice in your hands and have a nice balance. They don't last so long tought. After 3 weeeks they losen upper high frequencies, but for the price they are definitely the best one.
I think i'm gonna use them in the summer mostly, when there's lot of moisture in the air, and it's lot cheaper to change them twice in a month than to buy expensive strings.
I REALLY love Harley Benton
Slapped these one to my jazz bass and sounded just as good as the stock fender strings, if not better, thunderous yet bright, a great set of strings for a bass player, especially those starting out as bass string prices are rediculous, I dont know why people would buy anything else, they're great
Great strings
Excellent bass strings. Not just for the price which is unbeatable, this HB strings ROCK on pair with Ernie Ball and RotoSound. D'addario are little brighter than HB but for Nickel Plated Steel strings must say they have lots of pleasant ringing.
If you by this bass set you cant go wrong!
I love the blue ends on the strings and how fresh they sound, and thy stay fresh for decent period of time..not as Elixir but not worse than Dunlop,EB,DAddario etc..
I pot this and 45-105 on my Fender Jazz Bass and Fender Sting Precision bass and sound is very good. I don't know why people would buy anything else, they're great
Why pay more?
For ages I had been searching for the right bass strings and I had settled on ernie balls, that is, until I found these!
These strings are my preferred gauge and sound amazing! On top of this they are under £5!!
I love the blue ends on the strings and how fresh they sound, the only problem I have encountered is that they can die quite quickly but at this price it's easy to just put another set on before a show!
These strings are very resilient too as I have been through 10+ sets now and not snapped a single string, which used to happen all the time with big name brand strings!
Love them!
Unbelievably good strings for the money.
I bought these to put on my second bass, a peavey milestone. To be honest I wasn't expecting them to be anything more than mediocre but I'm suprised at how good they are. To be honest there isn't that much of a discernable difference between these and any other string under the £10 mark. Gone are my days of only changing bass strings every two years.
Great value strings
Considering the price these are great strings. I haven't been using them for long but up to now the tone is excellent, with the strings producing a fairly bright sound. The playing feel is smooth and comfortable. Given the price even if they don't last long they're a bargain, considering the price of some of the big brand alternatives.
Value for money strings!
I am very satisfied with these strings. The price is amazing and the differences at minimal compared to the more expensive ones. The only wish I have is the color at the top of the strings.I would like to be red instead of blue.
Value!
Good enough sound (quite bright)... unfortunately one of two sets i purchased included faulty one string G (broken wound).... So next time i decided to spent little more for Warwick strings .....
Look for the price
I think for this price (under 5€!) you can't make anything wrong with these bass strings from Harley Benton. Of course you can't expect any miracles and you have to relate it to the price. For example, most the time I am using the Elixir Nanoweb Medium Long Scale strings which cost more than 40€. And yes I think these are the better sounding ones and of course they are holding the promise the give, they sound great for a long time, much longer than the Harley Bentons I think. But for this price they are an alternative maybe for an reserve bass or a second one you don't use so much and often like your first bass.
Brilliant all round
I needed a spare set of strings but I didn't really want to spend too much money on any of the big brands, plus you can hardly go wrong with these since they only cost a fiver. I put them on my guitar straight away and they weren't bad at all, they were quite good actually. They sounded nice and crisp, but I do not really expect that to last too long, they are getting a little muddier already after just a day, but no strings stay crisp forever. But otherwise these are brilliant, and for the price they are phenomenal. A really good way to spend five euro.
Benton Valuestrings Bass
Very impressed so far. I bought these strings to try out a lighter gauge before buying a lot more expensive branded name string for my Jazz bass. These strings have given my bass a new lease of life. Don't know yet how long they will stay bright and musical, but i am in no panic to change them for a more expensive set.
FANTASTIC value strings!
I have to say, when I ordered theese strings i wasn't expecting much because of the price.. I expected uneven winds, incorrect lenghts, ball-end coming off, strings snapping under standard tension and what not, metal fragments piercing your fingers (I've had this happen to me with another brand)
But.. They had none of those problems. In fact, they were great strings for what I paid! They sound good, feel like regular SS strings, and they last pretty long. (I never broke theese before changing them out)
With that said, they lose that "new" sound fairly quickly, but that's not surprising and I don't think I'm complaining either, because when they've settled, they sound even for a long time.
If you're looking for some cheap strings that do their job well until you can afford those Elixirs - look no further, get 2-3 packs of theese and don't look back. Yes, they're that good - for the price you pay.
Lovely
I love all harley benton strings. these are great too , nice clear sound and stay crisp sounding for a long time.
OK for the price
I bought these for a really crappy bass so I didn't have any expectations at all but they came out sounding quite descent considering the price
Good cheap bass strings
Good sounding strings, I bought them to mix in a set for a squier bass vi. The quality is as good as any other budget bass string I've tried, and for the price, these come highly recommended.
Good value for money !
Not the best strings on the planet ~ but for this price propably the best in the universe !
