Joyo MA-10B Portable Bass Amp Reviews
Great value
Much better than I expected! Decent volume and sound, especially for this price.
Excelent for the price
You shouldn't have much expectations but for that price I think it is good enough. I took it for my bass ukulele and it was important to have a compact , portable and louder enough amp for outdoor guitar activities. And that amp did the job.
Big sound from a little box
Bought for the kid's first foray into bass lessons. Did not expect the volume or clarity this thing provides. It is a little bright with a single coil, but as a first amp it doesn't really matter. The drive channel, headphone out and line in are great features, given the price. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a travel or even as a back up practice amp.
Handy when no power is available
I bought this amp to use with my bass ukulele when performing with a small band in the open air on a high street. There is a good amount of loudness and bass from this small unit. It's fairly lightweight and for 10W can hold its own. There is a gain and basic EQ/tone controls to shape your sound. I was playing with a keyboard, a cajon and a 20 person choir and could still be heard. When at maximum volume, I did notice a little feedback, but that would be expected. For this pricepoint, I don't think there are many better options as cheap as this.
perfect for practice if you travel a lot
The product is exactly what you expect for this size and price. Sound is OK. Bass on the 4th string is not tight enough and the volume is sufficient only on max. Increasing gain distort a lot too but I guess all that is normal. It’s perfect for home practice when you’re not at home but won’t do any work for jamming.
Good product
It is really what you pay for, nothing more nothing less. Sounds decent when hooked up to my bass but have since switched to spark amp
Well built, but underpowered, even for a bedroom amp
I bought this as a cheap, chuck in the corner, throw-away amp. It's surprisingly well built, better than expected. But, it's very quiet, even for a small practice amp.
I got around this for a while with a cheap behringer graphic equaliser to lift it a bit and it's fine. I've also observed that placing it on a solid object rather than the carpet makes a difference.
Overall, if you want a simple, cheap, quiet bass practice amp, then this'll do the job. I'd just say to expect that it's probably a little quieter than you might be expecting.
Pretty Good for the price
I bought this as a present for my daughter and in checking it out I think it well designed handy little utility. I was surprised by the richness of the sound from something so small and light. But I will say, I wish they'd made the cabinet constructed of something alittle more durable.
More than enough
It is smaller than I expected. However, quality of the sound is really satisfied. Easy to carry and does everything that you expect about sound. Quality is normal for that price so, you can just buy if you wanna have something to practice at home.
Not bad for the money but
Works OK as a practice amp and definitely handy that it works on batteries. Format is light and portable. All in all not a bad deal for the money. But it can't hold a candle to the (admittedly much more expensive) Roland Micro Cube RX Bass either in terms of sound quality or volume.
The unit is listed as "two-way," but the small vertical speaker (tweeter?) appears to be just a decoy (no sound seems to come out of it), and the tone control too doesn't seem to do much either....
Good practice amp for bass
I use this amp with my bass ukulele. More than loud enough for practicing. Can also be used in a small acoustic group (if the room is not too big). Very nice bass sound, and very decent price. The look is pretty good too.
Loads of amp for your money.
This amp is a 10W bass amp with included PSU, it compares well with the Fly Bass which is a similar price, 3W and no PSU included.
It's an ideal bedroom blaster for places where too much volume might cause issues, very portable and able to keep up with acoustic guitar of a jam in the park etc. Not really giggable and maybe not enough power for busking except in a quiet spot with good acoustics, like a subway.
Build quality is typical Joyo, very solid, nice light-up logo and in cream it has a lovely retro feel. Other colours look contemporary, so a timeless design,
The sound is good for a 5" speaker but not outstanding. It handles a passive bass well without farting, haven't tried it with my active 5-string. The tone control is a bit like a Fender TBX, very subtle and to be honest sounds best left at 12 O'clock to me. The drive channel works well giving a decent rumble rather than a buzz.
Best value for money
Very light good quality construction very good sound in best value for money ☺️
Amazing for the price
Nice low end with great balance of high, powerfull enough to match acoustic guitar (unplugged), unbeatable for the price!
Good little boyo
Its good. Really. But not really loud.
As advertised. Great for small acoustic playing.
I use this with batteries and my uBass when I am playing outdoors with my bluegrass band. I have to turn the gain all the way up to be heard, though. It's nice and lightweight for traveling, I also use it with my guitar when I am on road trips. It looks cheap, but it's great for the price. It's also convenient to be able to plug in my phone and play along with songs.
very happy
great little thing for just sitting on you own having a practice i recomend for the price great value
Good value
for this price it's a good first amp
Good for small apartments
Bought this for practising in a small apartment. Does the job perfectly fine. It came a bit scratched on the removable foil, so while it's not in perfect condition, the foil can be removed. Build quality is not the best but that's expected from an amp this cheap. Happy with the purchase.
Perfect little amp for home practice
I bought that for home practice, small acoustic rehearsals and to take it on vacations. It is perfect for all of that, very convenient. Much better sound than the blackstar alternative. I don't think it is possible to find anything that sounds like it, and at the same time it's so cheap and small. So this is perfect for room practice at low volume, and portability. For anything else, use a real amp.
