basic little amp for bass practice

not a bad little amp for personal bass practice, but not more. If practicing with others, then a better, louder amp is needed. ok, but realise the limitations

Nice amp

This is a great little amp. It's very well made, light and offers a good sound. It's not the best-sounding amp, and if you want a good sound maybe look at a higher priced option. But it does a useable job for home practice. For the price, it can't be beat!

Exactly what was expected

Needed a small portable amp to practice at home, or with the band in an acoustic setting(not much volume needed)... the JOYO offers just that! plus with its headphone/aux, you get a sweet tiny practice amp for yourself

Sounds exactly like you knew it would

For the price this is a good amp.

Does not sound great, feels a little flimsy, but hey, it’s so cheap. What did you expect.

Nevertheless, this amp does what it is made for. It is not superloud, but definitely loud enough to accompagny an acoustic or vocals.

Sooo incredibly lightweight you can take it anywhere.

What I’m saying is, you know what a €40 amp sounds like. Don’t expect a full on Ampeg sound out of this.

But enjoy!

Useful for practice

This little thing is great for practice in small spaces, but not necessarily great for gigging. It feels a bit "plasticcy", and is very lightweight which Is great. Works great with electric bass, not upright bass. Few ways to shape the sound, but this doesn't bother me.

super light practice amp

easy to carry, small and compact, sound is all you need and expect from a table micro practice amp...

Cheap, cheerful and plastic

I picked this up with a few other things as it was basically free. I cannot pretend that it sounds particularly special, but it takes batteries, weighs next to nothing and has a carry strap; it's therefore great for taking places you wouldn't take a proper amp. Massively plasticky. Slightly fun.

sound alright, works with AAA batteries.

I have tried some portable bass amps for the street performance, and this amp is not really to perform with other instrument, but it can function alright as a practice amp.

The price is amazing, first of all.

With a bass connected to it, even though I only tested with a passive bass, just like any small bass amp, the sound gets distorted. pretty normal.

This amp is extremely light. feels almost like it can be kicked away veeeeeery far if someone walks into it. There wasn't any feeling of the amp getting rattled because of the weight during playing bass.

Great for the price.

50's retro looks, lovely colour, good sound quality but just for practice.

Very good product

Good tone, good plastic quality, good range of possible tones, you can carry it around shoulder, even has a built-in drive! I use it with tone splitter to have a little battery amp while I play and sing through it, and it is very good addition for simple street playing, without any additional equipment. It is very loud (for practice amp, it can compete with 10w guitar amp!), but little distorted after passing 8 on master. It is very lightweight. This is not a toy, you Must have it!

Very satisfied

Unbelievably light and tiny, super easy to transport, yet it delivers a surprising amount of volume with a tone that's not completely horrible.

This thing will not make your bass sound better, but it will allow you to jam with an electric guitar (at reasonable volumes), and to enjoy your practice time. I would not change anything, outstanding product.

Excelent for the price

You shouldn't have much expectations but for that price I think it is good enough. I took it for my bass ukulele and it was important to have a compact , portable and louder enough amp for outdoor guitar activities. And that amp did the job.

Big sound from a little box

Bought for the kid's first foray into bass lessons. Did not expect the volume or clarity this thing provides. It is a little bright with a single coil, but as a first amp it doesn't really matter. The drive channel, headphone out and line in are great features, given the price. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a travel or even as a back up practice amp.

perfect for practice if you travel a lot

The product is exactly what you expect for this size and price. Sound is OK. Bass on the 4th string is not tight enough and the volume is sufficient only on max. Increasing gain distort a lot too but I guess all that is normal. It’s perfect for home practice when you’re not at home but won’t do any work for jamming.

Good product

It is really what you pay for, nothing more nothing less. Sounds decent when hooked up to my bass but have since switched to spark amp

Well built, but underpowered, even for a bedroom amp

I bought this as a cheap, chuck in the corner, throw-away amp. It's surprisingly well built, better than expected. But, it's very quiet, even for a small practice amp.

I got around this for a while with a cheap behringer graphic equaliser to lift it a bit and it's fine. I've also observed that placing it on a solid object rather than the carpet makes a difference.

Overall, if you want a simple, cheap, quiet bass practice amp, then this'll do the job. I'd just say to expect that it's probably a little quieter than you might be expecting.

Pretty Good for the price

I bought this as a present for my daughter and in checking it out I think it well designed handy little utility. I was surprised by the richness of the sound from something so small and light. But I will say, I wish they'd made the cabinet constructed of something alittle more durable.
