I watch some positive views about this portable combo and I decided to buy it.. Hoping everything works fine
Excellent little amp for its money
It's obviously not a bass amp that will blow you away, but it is a nice little amp that does the work when you want to practice without disturbing the neighbors. It worked well with a bass uke, a bass guitar and an electric guitar. It does the job and it is much better than other products in the same price range that I have tested in the past.
Amazing amplifier for rehearsing at low volume
For my need (only practise some bass lines; I'm not a bassis) is enough. I can really play some bass lines without need a huge and expensive amplifier.
Handles low frequencies surprisingly well
So, I was pleasantly surprised. At medium volume, this thing can handle my Low 0.160 bass string, which starts from A0, then goes down to E0 (with a Hipshot). I mean…this is a practice amp, and you don’t have to crank it, right?
Also — it’s a very acceptable speaker, for that little money.
And the off-white looks classy. I do recommend it, because of all the above.
Great value
Much better than I expected! Decent volume and sound, especially for this price.
Handy when no power is available
I bought this amp to use with my bass ukulele when performing with a small band in the open air on a high street. There is a good amount of loudness and bass from this small unit. It's fairly lightweight and for 10W can hold its own. There is a gain and basic EQ/tone controls to shape your sound. I was playing with a keyboard, a cajon and a 20 person choir and could still be heard. When at maximum volume, I did notice a little feedback, but that would be expected. For this pricepoint, I don't think there are many better options as cheap as this.
More than enough
It is smaller than I expected. However, quality of the sound is really satisfied. Easy to carry and does everything that you expect about sound. Quality is normal for that price so, you can just buy if you wanna have something to practice at home.
Good practice amp for bass
I use this amp with my bass ukulele. More than loud enough for practicing. Can also be used in a small acoustic group (if the room is not too big). Very nice bass sound, and very decent price. The look is pretty good too.
Loads of amp for your money.
This amp is a 10W bass amp with included PSU, it compares well with the Fly Bass which is a similar price, 3W and no PSU included.
It's an ideal bedroom blaster for places where too much volume might cause issues, very portable and able to keep up with acoustic guitar of a jam in the park etc. Not really giggable and maybe not enough power for busking except in a quiet spot with good acoustics, like a subway.
Build quality is typical Joyo, very solid, nice light-up logo and in cream it has a lovely retro feel. Other colours look contemporary, so a timeless design,
The sound is good for a 5" speaker but not outstanding. It handles a passive bass well without farting, haven't tried it with my active 5-string. The tone control is a bit like a Fender TBX, very subtle and to be honest sounds best left at 12 O'clock to me. The drive channel works well giving a decent rumble rather than a buzz.
Best value for money
Very light good quality construction very good sound in best value for money ☺️
Amazing for the price
Nice low end with great balance of high, powerfull enough to match acoustic guitar (unplugged), unbeatable for the price!
As advertised. Great for small acoustic playing.
I use this with batteries and my uBass when I am playing outdoors with my bluegrass band. I have to turn the gain all the way up to be heard, though. It's nice and lightweight for traveling, I also use it with my guitar when I am on road trips. It looks cheap, but it's great for the price. It's also convenient to be able to plug in my phone and play along with songs.
very happy
great little thing for just sitting on you own having a practice i recomend for the price great value
Perfect little amp for home practice
I bought that for home practice, small acoustic rehearsals and to take it on vacations. It is perfect for all of that, very convenient. Much better sound than the blackstar alternative. I don't think it is possible to find anything that sounds like it, and at the same time it's so cheap and small. So this is perfect for room practice at low volume, and portability. For anything else, use a real amp.
Loud enough
I play bass and when it comes to jamming round the camp fire even a large acoustic bass is too quiet. This little baby does the trick. It's best for a singalong with nothing else amped. All the knobs do what they say. Tone sweep is actually quite impressive. So glad I bought this
Cheap and good !
Best little bass amp, very good for 4 strings normal tunning, also for 5 strings (low B). It's tunning to cutoff frequency under 60 Hz, avoid very low freq. wich mean no overstressed built in 5'' speaker, but harmonics are present and the overall sound is very good at his size. Drive switch is efficient and work well with gain pot. and give nice and mellow overdrive. Very light and portable has a plastic enclosure (not really thinny) and looks not very cheap. Also the 2 screw mount on sides allow to use a long or short strap to be more portable.
