Practical long lasting mic stand

I've bought mic stands for have the price but the tightening parts seem to wear on them fairly quickly, I can tell this is more robust, higher quality and should last a lot longer, worth it.

Good quality for the price

I've used both Millenium mic stands and some quality heavy-duty stands and I wouldn't be ashamed to use this K&M in a professional environment. A fairly sturdy stand made of good materials with well working mechanisms. It can support quite heavy mics as well. Worth 30 euros, I think.

beyerdynamic stand without the price tag

This is as good as the beyer dynamic stands i have bought in the past, and at a fraction of the price. Good Sturdy base, all fixtures and fittings work well, once it is set it is not going anywhere.

I will compare this stand to the Beyerdynamic GST500, which is a very high quality stand made by K&M.

1 - The metal base is very similar with the only difference being it is a little lower mass, but it is still high enough and heavy enough to be considered a quality mic stand. There is also slight variation with the mould of the plastic parts that hold the legs, but they are of equal density and thus quality.

2 - The rubber feet are a size smaller than the higher priced K&M stands but still of the same quality.

3 - The twist grip sleeve is a light plastic. It seems lower quality than the regular K&M grip. I believe this could be an old design of the sleeve which they have updated. The grip is the same across the entire range of K&M stands except this older version (see the cheap 25905 and 21070, and the more expensive 21090. All the same sleeve.

Now the things that are the same.

Literally everything else is the same.

The tubing is an exact match. I took them both apart and checked every detail and they came from the same machine.

The locking mechanisms on the boom are the same exact ones.

The small plastic grips that go inside the center pole to tighten the extension pole are the exact same ones.

So the only difference between this stand and the more expensive stands are the plastic twist grip, the mass of the base, and the rubber feet.

The updated K&M twist grip is available on this site so can be easily updated and still be cheaper than the other stands.

So don't worry, this stand is definitely worth buying.

Reliable, well-made mic stands with great ease of use.

Having gone through a huge number of lesser mic stands thanks to lively and busy nightly concerts, our venue were on the lookout for much more durable options (without going to crazy prices, as the best stand in the world won't resist a 15 stone crowd surfer).

An engineer friend from across town spoke highly of these and rightly so. They are in as good condition now as they were when purchased and should we need more stands, our days of cutting corners are open. Whilst these might cost fractionally more in the moment, they more than justify it through ease of use and relaibility.

Does the trick!

Not THE most stable microphone stand in the world, but it sure does what it's supposed to do. Nothing wrong with it, holds your mics in place and doesn't really wobble unless you run into it or bring it up on a very bouncy stage. Great for studio use, very affordable!

Simple Stand

This is a relatively light but robust stand. I've been gigging it for over two years now (at least 4 gigs per week) and NOTHING has broken on it. It handles very well and very simply. One handy levered screw to adjust the length and the angle of the boom shaft. One screw to adjust the legs. The legs are still as tight to fold in and out as when I got it. I'm very happy about that. There's a height adjuster for the straight shaft that I never need to adjust because I can achieve perfect height from the boom adjuster. There's also a mic holder screw atop the straight adjustable shaft. Handy for an instrument mic if you need one. The only adjustment I made to the stand was to glue on the rubber feet on to prevent them coming off and getting lost. You'll have to do this for most mic stands anyway.

I love K&M stands.

I love K&M stands. They are very strong and holds the mics and pop filters like a boss. Years back i just looked for something cheap, but then i understanded that mic stands cannot be cheap, because they have to do hard dirty work, so they have to be good quality stands that are strong and last long. K&M are not even the most expensive stands out there, but i think that they look good and do the job very Very good. I reccomend them to everybody, but i think that everybody is already using them :D I see them on every stage in my city and even on TV, so i think that that means something ...

Great value!

I've only ever bought cheap microphone stands as I figured they were pretty straight forward and that they would vary little in quality. However, I decided to try something a little more expensive after multiple cheaper stand breakages. Although not the most expensive stand, the quality of the stand really impressed me. I would recommend this product as it is a top quality stand at a fairly affordable price!

Very good stand

This stand is very robust and sturdy. No cheap plastic here, and the important parts are all metal. I've used it in different situations (rehearsing, live and recording), and it made a good impression in all of them.

Definitely recommended for this prize.

Better in the long run

I went through a lot of micstands throughout the years and always made the same mistake: I just bought the cheapest I could get. Of course they all felt and looked like toys and wore out after a year or two...

The few extra bucks I spent on this one show themselves to be a good investment.

This stand has quality screws and is very sturdy and makes a very good overall impression.

Great sturdy Stand

For studio or live, I've found these to be great quality. Sturdy with a heavy base and decent latches to keep everything in place. The main boom lock is not as easy to tighten as the slightly more expensive model that has a bit more leverage, but it's still pretty good and can hold some of the heavier mics in place.

For the money I'd say these are good value, I've bought cheaper stands before but they just frustrated me with drooping, instability or poor durability, this stand feels solid and good quality.

Top quality stand.!!

This stand represents phenomenal value for money! It's solidly built with a reassuring weight to it. I'm almost 2 metres tall, and the stand easily reaches me with the boom arm stretched across my pedalboard. K&M fittings never disappoint... And even though this stand is towards the lower part of their price range, it feels quite expensive. Highly recommended if like me, quality is high on your agenda.

Sturdy Rock lovliness

If you are a vocalist and you don't want 'the droop' to occur during a performance, buy K&M. Across their range their products are solid, reliable and professional. It's worth spending a little more on a stand which you won't have to replace after 1 year . Excellent stand for the money, 10/10

Good, sturdy stand

I have lots of K&M stands and they are all good quality. This model is all metal and is built to last. You could pay a lot more money and get a lot worse stand. Definitely recommended.
