Insanely good monitors for the price

Soft and detailed sound and great calibration features. Must have for a home studio. Great value for money.

Good choice for beginners

Pretty flat frequency response, self-tuning, tight bottom. All in all, great studio monitors. I am very pleased with the presence of an equalizer that will help to rebuild the monitors for the room, and you can also install the KRK Audio Tools application on your smartphone, which can help with setting up and choosing a preset for EQ.

(In white they look even a little more attractive, so I bought them too!)

Great speakers, though EQ are not fully customizable

Great entry-level speakers, the highs are actually better than I expected. Sound stage and imaging are fairly good considering my room has poor acoustics. One little disappointment I have is that I thought the EQ was fully customizable since there was an LCD screen and the dial. But in reality it seems like that users can only pick between combinations of onboard EQ settings.

Switched over from JBL

I had been using a pair of JBL LSR305s since 2017. I bought them because they advertised flat response and reviews said the were good for mixing.

After 5 years though, I wanted to make a switch. I searched the web for reviews and watched a few videos on YouTube. I finally chose the KRK Rokit 5 GP4s. After taking them out of the box, the first thing that caught my eye was the sleek design the yellow and black really “Pop” in my studio. After plugging them in for the first time, I have to say I am absolutely stunned at the wide spectrum of sound, even in an untreated environment.

I would definitely recommend these for mixing. If you’re thinking about it, watching a video on YouTube and listening to them for yourself in your own environment are two completely different things!

Sounds ok with my reference songs, but I can't say it's a wow. Nice entry level monitors.

About the hissing people care and me too when chose them because a lot of reviews - nothing out of normal. If you don't work with 'em at 50-80 cm, but keep them further than 1m from your ears it's absolutely ok.

Best studio monitor you can get for this price

The sound is perfect for a small studio. You can use the KRK app to EQ the speakers easily. Don’t hesitate just buy them

Very decent monitors - versatile and good sound.

The monitors are very good for what they are (and the size and price).

Exactly what i expected when it comes to build quality, sound and settings.

The display at the back with the volume level and room adjustment is a very nice addition, specially at the price. The volume setting is very fine, so you can do minimal adjustments and not just hope that the usual rotary volume rocker is good enough.

Sound is pretty neutral, as expected - even more than expected. Low end is decent for such tiny and affordable monitors. Do not expect any wonders here, 5" woofer can't go really low and produce enough low end to really surprise anyone. This is why a subwoofer like the KRK S10G4 is recommended if you work with electronic music or if you use the monitors at your DJ desk and you want the bass to be powerful.

Front ports are also nice when you plan to place the monitors against the wall.

Minor issues outside of the obvious missing low end (can't expect more at this size and price) are the very very short power cables - from the comfortable monitor stand they barely reach the floor. Of course you can change them, but would be nice to have longer cables out of the box.

Sounds great.

I might have an issue with the clipping, its either from my audio interface or it can’t handle the lows very well, still experimenting…

Execellent for the price.

I purchased these for my living room studio. They are pin sharp (sometimes uncomfortably so) and more than powerful enough, easilly filling a large room with sound up to an uncomfortable volume.

The array of DSP features on these is a little overwhelming at times, but genuinely valuable. My favourite is digital volume control, which allows me to turn both monitors to a reasonable level without ever fearing that one will be set louder than the other. It also has EQ which is nice, but can't replace proper room correction.

Build quality is solid, and strongly recommend these to anyone looking for a mid price range near field.

Really balanced and with some kick

Although I do some video editing and very simple music production I am not really an audio engineer, nor musician. I do like good sound though and I own and have owned multiple speakers and headphones. For pleasure and more studio focused flat ones. As I was looking to set up my new office space I decided to go for studio monitors because not only they sound a thousand times better than any other PC speakers, they are generally not fatiguing too . So how did I end up with KRK- I tested Presonus line (3.5, 4.5BT) with Presonus sub8, also M-audio BX5. And well.. Presonus had a tot missing in high frequences but I was generally very happy with M-audio, however they had a couple of design issues although sounded pretty flat and natural. However when I compared them with KRK it felt like someone took the cotton out of my ears. KRKs have such a nice high frequency response. Not only it gives more info, it's not really sharp or unpleasant. The stereo imaging is fantastic so the staging in the end is very effective, the mids are precise and well balanced even in complex rock songs they perform without a fault. The lows are very good too. I ran some audio-tests and they go even lower than advertised but generally are excellent across the range. Combine them with the sub to give a bit more of excitement on lower volumes (Cheap Presonus sub8 pairs nicely too) and you will have an incredible audiophile level listening experience at your desk. There is plenty of bass when you turn them up a little so for audio mastering sub is not needed imho. I cannot think of anything in this price range able to match such combo. The KRKs are build very well, the eq setting works well and what is nice is that you can be 100% sure volume is the same on both speakers.

Obviously the experiences are very personal especially for non professional listening, but I personally cannot find anything to complain about Rockkit 5

Excellent monitors!

These are my first studio monitors. I was pleased with the excellent sound, excellent performance quality. Also an undoubted plus is the location of the phase inverter on the front panel. Special thanks to the store's employees - they promptly collected the order, packed it with high quality, everything came intact. I will also add that the monitors are sensitive to the room in which they are installed. Satisfied with the purchase

Great monitors for the price!

Now days it is so difficult to choose something. Choice and offer is huge and also the information about all is enormous. And choosing studio monitors are no exception. But I am more than happy about my choice here. The sound is crisp, detailed, but fair and nothing in it seems too much nor little. I could not imagine how pleasing it is to listen through the monitors to already known music. Using them in 3x5m small room without any acoustic treatment and I am very pleased with my pair of KRK RP5 G4. The sound, design, adjustable equalizer for the price. To me- perfect!

Perfect for my editing setup.

After lots of research I decided to give this pair a try and was not dissapointed. My main use is for video editing and they are perfect for my needs. Their physical size and sound volume are just right for my small studio space and the sound quality is great and clear across the spectrum (at least for my ears). Would definitely suggest them for similar setups.

Amazing for the price

Perfect sound — at least good enough for the things (post-punk) which I do.

Easy to model the sound and works good with the interface.

Great quality studio monitors

I do not at all regret this choice. They are of great value. Best speakers to get into music production, djing and stuff.

My best monitors

I made the right choice getting this one. The high, mid and low suits perfectly my room with no acoustic treatment yet and I'm sure it will be even better in an acoustic room.

nice sound, but too much money for marketing
