Great meeting dvpriced studio monitors.these are KRK latest generation atoms.its material and design are the main it's features.I think After Adum audio and Genelec it is a great device as a studio monitors with all necessary features with low bujet.
I recommend them if you can afford extra for quality you should add Adam audio Genelec EVE audio brand for your secondary main monitors for critical listening and mixing mastering
Great monitors overall...I highly recommend them
Nice monitors, for a cheap price
When I first received them they looked extremely large and I kept on wondering what they were capable to do. So i hooked it all up, and tested them, and sound wise, it sounds great for its price. The interface on the back of them, where you can EQ and control volume of each of them is also pretty neat. So overall I would recommend these as your first set of monitors.
Good product, but ...
These are my first monitors. Before that there were only multimedia speakers. I play electric guitar and mix with electronic (synthwave, etc.) sound. For these purposes KRK were even very good. high sound detail - on fast passages you could hear every note, every sound. Also it became much better to respond to changes in the sound settings. Good panorama.
The disadvantage of which lowered the rating:
1. I had to exchange one monitor because the woofer bolts were twisted and crumpled the rim. This also prevented the front cover from closing before the end.
2. The hiss is quite strong. They are good to use more than a meter from the ear, perhaps ideally a meter and a half. I, on the other hand, sit close and the hissing is tiring.
The most bang for your buck
Near perfect studio monitors that have quite a lot of features.
Pros
- Can adjust EQ on some level
- Have standby mode, which is helpful, to say the least!
- Clean low, mid, and high frequencies.
- They are extremely powerful, I keep them -12 db from my AI software.
- A nice sleek design.
Cons
- They have that tweeter white-noise when powered on, can get annoying as they are near-field monitors but I heard of other studio monitors brands that are the same.
- Are a bit plasticky on the front side, feels cheaper than the gen 2 I previously owned.
