Great piece of switcher

I wanted to buy a cheap ABY switcher and I wanted to check this one out because the price is just so low. I works great, I actually cannot find any reason to buy a more expensive one except the only downside and also the only reason why I am not using it more frequently is just that the pedal is bit too big to squeeze on my pedalboard. My bad for not looking on the dimensions of it. Otherwise, a good buy.

Barely used

No complaints but I've hardly used it. A bit bulky & heavy for something that does a simple job.

Noisy

Lack of sound insulation.

Inexpensive but cheap. Orange amp detonator miles ahead.

Lead foot

First, the switch works perfectly and I would not be without it now. Now the negatives. There is no manual with it and it was a frustrating hour trying different permutations to get it operating as I wanted. The battery is difficult to fit and it would be very easy to loose the tiny washer on the silly cover. Battery life is very short and the 9 volt batteries are expensive considering it only powers the LED?s. If I needed another I would try a different model.

Okay

I got this as a switcher between two signal chains before my amp. Its okay, does what it's supposed to at least.

At this price, I can't complain too much about it, though I do notice some tone suck with this pedal in the chain.

I would check out some of the other options should I need to look for another A/B switcher in future but this works perfectly well for my current purposes

An ok ABY-box

Does what it's supposed to and a nice deal for the price. The footswitches are a bit too close to each other so that might cause problems with accidental swithing.

The build quality seems very sturdy. There is no jack for dc input so if you want for the leds to light up you need a battery.

Some grounding issues at times

It works well under the right conditions. I had it on tour for a month and it worked just fine. I've since had some issues with grounding, so I'll probably get a Lehle in the near future. Don't be put down because of this. The battery compartment is a bit flimsy, and overall quality isn't spectacular, but at this price, you can't beat it.

a bit dissappointed

I got this as I wanted to feed two electric guitars into my pedaboard and this is apparently the man for the job however, I've not been able to get it to work successfully without both guitars staying on or sometimes it fades out. I've not tried it yet with a battery although a battery is only required to light an l.e.d. It might sound stupid but it comes with little in the way of instruction, merely an electrical diagram screened on the front of it. so if you don't read diagrams (like me) then you'll be a while plugging in and swapping round etc..

Lead Foot ABY

I bought this mainly for recording, so that I could split a guitar signal to two amps at once and record both. and it is quite good at this, with no audible loss of tone.

The other useful thing this does is it allows you to send two sources to the guitar amps as well as switch between two sources - e.g. switching guitars between songs and leaving both plugged in.

The unit itself is very chunky and seems very sturdy, although the battery cover is a little difficult to get back into place after fitting the battery.

The one major negative I have found is that there is quite a lot of audio bleed between channels, so if you are planning on using this at gigs to switch between two amps, you will hear a little of the sound coming from the amp you have switched off.
