Marcus Miller V3 BK 2nd Gen Reviews
Enjoyable Instrument
Before I start describing the overall experience, I would like to say the price for this instrument and what it offers stays UNBEATEN. I’ve had many “cheaper” basses but this one absolutely blew my mind with one thing; it’s versatility and adaptability. Options are basically endless, starting with 2 ways of putting your strings though it to passive/active pickups.
It was a bit harder for some reason to set it up but once I’ve got that it was an absolute joyride.
Unbelievable
Great build, great sound, great price. I bought the black one which is also sexy as hell. The only downfall is that my unit is a little bit heavy.
Really love the tone.
I really love this base guitar . I think it is worth every penny.
Very nice but
Pros:
Neck edges are very good and comfortable to play.
Bass sounds and plays great, some minor tweaks required for my preference but excellent out of the box, however......
Cons:
Tuning posts need some thought though as they are waisted and have a lip at the bottom preventing the string to get the best angle over the nut causing rattling on the E string when played energetically. The first 3 strings have a clamp to hold them down so not a problem for them.
A leaflet with some instruction on the functionality of the active tone controls would be beneficial didn't find anything in the box.
Some electrical buzz in passive and active mode when tone is set to high treble.
Versatile
Funk, jazz, rock or pure distortion metal, this bass can deliver.
The neck has rounded edges so it's very comfortable and smooth.
Overall, excellent instrument for the price.
