Straight out of the box I couldn’t believe how smooth it was to play. I’ve worked in a few guitar shops over the years and nothing can rival the build and finish quality for this type of money. I’ve had the bass for 2 years now and it’s been fantastic. Stays in tune, keeps its intonation. It’s plays and sounds very even across the different strings. It’s not too heavy and is easier to play than any fender Precision or Jazz bass I’ve ever played. I’m a guitarist but bought this for home recordings and have upped my skills exponentially on the bass over the last two years because this is just so nice to play I pick it up most days. I’d be interested to see the level if Sire start bringing out electric guitars that are anything like the...

I am a guitarist & songwriter and I needed a bass for my recordings. I can't afford to have lots of basses so I needed only one to do the job. And I found it. From the very start that I played it, it felt comparable to a high end instrument. The whole construction feels solid and expensive. The sound is crystal clear with lots of sustain and you have so many options from all those knobs. The feel of the knobs is the only thing that felt cheap but they work really great. I was surprised by the rolled edges of the neck, which is really comfortable, the fantastic fretwork and that massive saddles on the bridge. There is also a neck-pickup cover included but you have to drill the pickguard in order to attach it. I definitely recommend this bass guitar. It sounds fantastic, it's...

This is my first bass, i wanted to buy a Sire bass (V7 mostly) since I've heard many good things about them. And I'm glad that I procrastinated long enough for this bass to come out because it's perfect for me specwise and looks gorgeous. You can't beat roasted maple neck, block inlays and natural finish on a jazz bass! Fretboard on my bass looks like ordinary maple since it's much more pale compared to the neck body. But it doesn't bother me so much since it's with perfect balance with the color of the body. I think that the fact that it's passive is only a plus. It has this raw growly sound of 70's jazz bass and can be very smooth too. It's easy to find the exact sound you want without endless rotating nobs on preamp. No issues with pickups and electronics. The neck is...

It was a present for my 40th birthday, so it holds special place in my collection. Bass is looking and playing on level of American Fender JB. Maybe even better looking than AMJB... At 3.9kg it's on lighter side for a JB and balanced well, so you can't feel the weight at all. Well, it's same weight as a Les Paul but it's bigger so... Frets ale well done and quite smooth, but it's worth to have a go at them when doing maintenance to polish them up even more. Hardware works and holds tuning with no issues, neck is nice and smooth, no blemishes on it neither on body or headstock. Sound is great, similar to JB 77, the stock pickups handle it very well but for bigger live performances probably it would benefit from an active set. For non arena playing current set-up...
Squier CV 70s Jazz Bass MN BK

As a guitar player, I needed a bass for some demo recording and, since it's not my main instrument, I wanted to stay on a low budget. This sounded to me like a good compromise, so I ordered it right away. I'm really impressed with the instrument: normally I had this "knowledge" that when you order a Squier, then some customization is needed (for example changing the pickups, adjusting the action and so on). In this case instead the instrument was perfect out of the box: very good sound and good playability. Also a positive note on the packaging, which was very robust. Overall highly recommended.

Get value, arrived with no issues, no flaws in fit or finish. Sounds as a jazz bass should. Plays well set up perfectly from factory. The neck looks and feels amazing very smooth. No problems with fret edges etc. The finger board didnt need any oil on it (which I was expecting, as a few of my hb guitars have required this upon delivery). For the price I am super happy would recommend 100%. In fact I am so happy Im looking at a maple fret board one as a spare/back up/ different tuned on. Much better imo than an entry level squier and about half the price.

I own many bass guitars and wanted a jazz to complete my collection....wont gig it because i use six stringers for gigs. Looks beuatiful, the body colour is incredibly classy, i changed the pick guard to a red tortoise shell version and all i get are compliments on how beauitful the bass looks. It also came with a lovely flame on the maple neck, a feature which may have been luck rather than an actual feature. It played incredibly well straight out of the box, i lowered the action by around 1mm and it was perfect. The tone is jazz bass thru and thru, Clean and punchy with a nice bit of bite thrown in. No it doesnt sound like a 60;s vintage bass but is totally useable and recognisable and for the price of the bassi am really happy! A lot of friends told me to buy a sire bass, and maybe for...

It's the first bass I have ever owned, but having tried some American-made Fender basses as comparison, I did not find any noticeable differences in quality - looks and feels really solid. This bass sounds good both in a live and recorded setting and feels great to play. The factory settings were not ideal when I got out of the box so I had some adjustments made by a technician over 2 y ago, but that is quite normal and havent had to make any tweaks since. Great instrument for reasonable price.

I loved the bass shape and color the finishing is so good the neck is perfect every thing is fine except the sound is a bit low comparing to any bass I have the sound power is low on both single coils and Humbuckers I don't know what is the reason even I changed the battery I said may be it's from battery but unfortunately the result was the same so what I did I raised the amp volume more than a half to get a reasonable sound I don't know how the quality control of Sandberg missed that issue other than that the bass is light weight and the wood the color and hardwhere are stunning the quality one the sound is perfect but the sound power is a little low .

I purchased this instrument as something to have for my home studio and as a bass guitar gig workhorse, it exceeded this basic premise. The instrument is well made, has decent paint finish, capri orange it actually more subtle that it looks on a a computer screen, (as well as a good feeling satin neck) and is not too heavy. Being easy to play the overall tone is exploitable with the two pickups giving a good range of timbres. This bass guitar functions above the price and I would recommend it to any level of player.
