It's a snare ring

Listen, I like a good budget product as much as the next drummer, but it may honestly just be worth the extra $1.50 to get the next step up in quality. I'm not here to bash this thing, because I have the whole set on my road-kit right now, but if you're more serious about your tone, it would at least be a good idea to have another weapon in your arsenal like an E-Ring, or a BFSD if you're into that.

Not a bad product overall, just that the alternatives are (in my opinion) significantly better at handling stress and producing good tone.

7 out of 10, would buy again.

Good sound control

These sound control rings work very well at subtly removing unwanted overtones and sustain from drums. I use one on my snare and one on my rack tom, both of which benefit from its simple yet important tone shaping qualities.

very good sound, but not a good quality

the Millenium 14" Sound Control Ring is very useful to damp some of the annoying overtones on the snare drum. The sound on my steel-snare drum was way-better with the Sound control ring than without. But on my maple-snare the sound didn´t change very much.

But a problem with the Millenium 14" Sound Control Ring is the quality. I had after some weeks perhaps even after days a crinkle in the thin plastic ring and now i can not use the ring anymore because the crinkle bother me while playing.

but because the ring is very cheap it´s bearable and I think I´ll buy a second ring for my steel-snare
