Excellent snare drum damper ring

Excellent snare drum damper ring. The fastest and cheapest way to mute unwanted overtones on your snare drum.

Simple mod for your snare.

Effective mod to tweak the sound if you don't want the overtones.

Value for money / Excellent rapport qualité-prix

I don't think anyone who has bought this product can actually say that this snare ring didn't meet expectations. It does exactly what's it's supposed to do, especially when you consider the price. I, for one, am a happy customer. I would totally recommend, no doubt.

PS: I have tried it on my 14" floor tom, and needless to say, the results are great!

Loving it

Great value, beats the more expensive ones. I hit hard but haven't broke it.

More subtle than Moongel

This is perfect if you're looking for a more subtle way to dampen your snare than moongel, in both looks and sound. In terms of sound, it gives a more balanced dampen around the edge of the whole snare so it's not as noticeable as moongel. It does bounce a little more than moongel does when you hit it though.

It really does work

It takes away the overtones completely. The drum still sound loud but with pretty much no sustain. I was hoping it making the drum little bit less loud, but it doesn't... Now I ordered these: x Rohema Rods Prof. Bamboo (German version of Hot Rods). I tried them and I know they work quite good and enable you playing both drums and cymbal softer.

I still kept this ring and I am sure it'll come handy for other purposes.

I like it!

When I haven't enough time to tune snare drum I use some sound control stuff (moon gel, tape). But this sound control ring is the simplest and cheapest method to reduce "jingle" sound.

Pros: Low price, transparent, easy to tune

Cons: If it packed poorly it can be rumpled and area of fit isn't enough to damp sound

Changed my snare for the better

I was after a product that shortened the decay of my snare as it was ringing out for too long.

This product was perfect for my needs as it literally just sits on top of the snare skin to dampen the resonance from being too loud.

My only negative is that you need to keep the ring as flat as possible so it creates an even contact all round. As soon as there is any sort of kink in the ring, you can get a buzzing sound with the vibrations. Transport isn't the easiest as the ring doesn't stick to your snare, so make sure you keep it flat when moving.

Would happily buy again, for the price, get a few as backups!

Great Value

Im amazed at how cheap these, does a great job of taking the high end harmonics out of a drum leaving a fat drum sound with all the body!
