Good Product with some flaws.

I bought this to use with my Blackstar Artist 30 combo amp, and it is a great fit.

The gooseneck, is a littlebit flimsy and week, i would change it to a better one like the "Gravity MA goose M" (i have tried the S size but that was too small for it.) I think even with buying an extra gooseneck, you come out cheaper than buying a cabgrabber, or some other more expensive version of this.

It has nice rubber holders on the side for cable management, whit could be more sturdy, but they do their job fine.

Amp Clamp for live use

Bought this amp clamp to negate the need to carry a mic stand around. It fits nicely on my boogie and although it can move about easily it generally stays in the right position. I have the mic off center to the edge of the speaker cone and it's perfect for this. Worth the money for the convenience.

I use two of them for last few years. They are not so bad. Need to give them some attention and love when placing them, not as plug and play as I was expecting. But after few minutes u can find the right way to use it. I got used to them after a while.

Has served us well

My guitarist used tihs on his fender hotrod. Has been a solid purchase.

Compact mic holder

Idea behind this compact mic holder is great, but there is still some room for improvement.

First of all, this clamp might have problem with attaching to some straight boxes, due to it's limited stretch option (We tried and failed on Orange 2x12 reprobox). On the other hand, you are still able to use it even if it doesn't fit your cab, there is always a way.

Second problem I discovered is the weight of the microphone for adjustable part of the clamp. It's quite hard to keep it at the sweet spot, since the weight of the mic dragging the clamp down to certain position. It'd be nice if the adjustable part was more solid.

Anyway, even with it's flaws it's still very good and handy product

Grips the amp well but goose-neck section is a little too weak to hold heavier mics in place.

Good but not for the large 4x12 cabs

The quality for the amp clamp seems good, it is sturdy metal. But it can not fit on larger 4x12 cabs like Orange PPC412. It does not extend for the length of my cabinet, so I had to attach it to my amp's head and then tilt it downwards.

It is good for what it is. Should be cheaper though, because its very simple.

Millenium Amp Clamp

Very useful mic clamp for micing up guitar cabinets in the studio or at gigs. No need for cumbersome mic stands. Fitting is very easy with the spring loaded clamp. I found it best to fit it on the top of the cabinet rather than the bottom so that gravity helps keep the gooseneck in position.

Space saver

Very handy, saves valuable floor space and means I don't have to hang the mic from the top of the amp. The gooseneck can be awkward to fix perfectly into position but I've never had a gooseneck that works perfectly, its better to be stiff than too loose.

A good buy, no-nonsense and no issues using on a small Orange Tiny Terror Combo and on my Fender Deluxe Combo.

amp clamp

Good product but does not fit angled cabs or some blackstar cabs, Spring is a bit too tight. Left an indent on a few cabs which I would not be happy with if it was mine.

Useful tool - be sure to try a number of fixing positions

The product arrived really quickly - always welcome! - and was well packaged.

My main use for this was to have a mic permanently set up on my amp for quick and easy recording purposes meaning that it would be a set and forget and therefore had to be stable.

Attaching it to the amp is easy (the springs are reassuringly strong) and the mic thread is standard so pretty much anything should attach.

I had some initial problems with it sagging - however if the clamp is place over the top of the cab (rather than on the side) it resists gravity better. I've tried it with a few mics (SM57, Heil PR30, CAD Trion 7000) and it supports those fine. It would not work with large heavy condensers such as the sE z5600aII or a U87 so consider that if you are planning to use such mics.

It has supported the PR-30 for a couple of months now without sagging so am confident in its longevity.

All in all it has done what I hoped it would and saves me having mic stands taking up floor space.

Recommended.

Stage cluttered with mic stands?

I have two of these. One at home for recording, and one in the PA rig for gigging. I haven't met a combo yet that it doesn't fit, though I bought a longer gooseneck for the one in the PA kit - as the supplied one didn't reach the ideal position on some larger single speaker combos. I've had guitarists look horrified when I've fitted one to their precious amp, but the spring is strong enough to hold firmly without marking vinyl or textured coverings.

Great Idea!

I was delighted when I saw this as I have had a lot of problems with setting up SM57s with my amp both live and in the studio. The idea is fantastic - and it works particularly well. There are however a couple of issues I have had with it - the Goose Neck could be a little more flexible and stable as it only just about gets the mic close enough to my cabinet speaker. As well as that, it does feel a little bit cheap.

With that said, it works quite well on the two amps on which I have tried it. It is a big space saver too and for the money you can't go wrong!

I would definitely recommend it.

Good clip, not so good gooseneck

The clip itself is *heavy.* It is very, very sturdy, though, and once you mount it to your amp, it's just not going anywhere. The finish is also very nice, it's a nice piece of kit to have in your hand, and it'll blend in with most cabs out there, or at least look decent if the thing isn't black.

The gooseneck is a tad short, and not super-duper stable – it needs coaxed into just above position rather than sitting where you stick it. All-in, not a bad piece of kit by any means, but the gooseneck is not perfect. It'll detach completely and easily, though, so if you're as fussy as I am, you can pick up another one.

Nice idea and great space and time saver, saving space on stage.

Trouble is that the supplied flexi gooseneck is too light when a mic is used, this either causes the mic to droop or move away from the cab.

I've modified mine and now use a solid bar bent to 90 degrees and it's now stable.

If the gooseneck was stiffer it would have been 5 stars.

Better than a stand....

I bought this to mic up a cabinet in a tight space where having a microphone stand permanently set up was going to be an issue. Not only is this product good for space saving reasons but it also offers a more streamlined look for any studio and also encourages for a quicker set up time as mic's can already be placed on the sweet spots of in house cabs/amps etc.

The main drawback for me is the fact that no instructions were included on how to operate the stand or any mention that a screw driver is needed for any adjustments! Other than that however this is a stable way of mounting a microphone out of the way and also offers for easier positioning with the gooseneck rather than having to move a stand or boom arm around.

Great invention!

This clamp is a great invention. Super simple to use. Doesn't take up much space. Very easy to transport.

Because of the small size, maybe the clamp is not suitable for all amps.

a time saver

Great value for money, it extends and it much cheaper than some other alternatives! I bought a few of these and it fits on my amp nicely. I just keep it on there now. Saves me a lot of effort having to set everything up constantly. Also it means you always get the mic in the sweet spot AND it helps to find the sweet spot quicker.

Genius invention! I would buy more and would happily recommend some to friends inquiring about them. I use nice with an Audix i5. They also save space in the car/bag instead of carrying around another three microphone stands, they're easier to carry ergonomically (they don't slip out your hand) and they're a lot lighter!

very useful

a grate peace of cit for anyone doing live sound i have two of these now . grate for geting a nice tidy stage its out of the way it avoids your mic positions being moved by artiest kicking over your mic stands these clamps have a nice handy cable clip on them so you can beep your cables tidy as well. the goos neck is grate on smaller lighter mic's you can move it feely and it stays in position if you start to use heavier mics tho it dose tend to droop a bit but its not to bad iff you put the clamp up hieer than where you what your mic to go. these clamps are a grate perchance and im very happy with them word of worming tho iff you need them to mic up an orange 4x12 cabb this clamp wont fit its a bit of a stretch to fit on most cabs of that size for combos its grate ones for an experiment i did use it to clamp a mic to a rack tom witch worked pretty well looks horrible but it worked! so yeah i would recommend this clamp to a friend
