Fair for the price, but not a great option.

It works just enough, but it doesn't hold well and is pretty limiting.

good value for price

Everything works as it should but not the most stable stand.

Don't buy if you have linoleum floors!

The pads on the bottom will permanently stain your linoleum floors, so beware!

fine if you are on a budget

These stands are all right if you are on a budget, but for future purchases I would choose a more high-end brand. The millenium stand feels cheap and with a heavy microphone, you have to REALLY tighten the screws and hope that it does not slowly go down. Fine for a small vocal mic if you are on a budget!

Decent for its price

Only using it in my home studio and I can't see it being used elsewhere due to lack of sturdiness.

Pros: Cheap, gets the job done, decent for home studio use.

Cons: Fragile, confusing to use

Dodgy Stand

I feel as if this stand is very dodgy and doesnt exactly go where I want it to go which is very frustrating when recording vocals, I'd recommend the Rode PSA-1 Microphone arm. it is definitely a lot more advanced

okay value for money but not very sturdy for heavy mics such as the rode nt1-a

Light construction

Mike stand is quite light construction so do not over load with heavier microphones

One minus, it is not very stable.

Screw on upper boom broke immediately, I use tape to keep it in place now.

You Pay for What You Get

This a great budget Boom Stand, but I would recommend spending the extra to get a better quality version that just feel more solid in the areas you can adjust and tighten.

Simple stand, you get what you pay for.

It's "Okay" at best

Wouldn't give this one to a rock star.

Poor stability, badly threaded etc.

Good for anyone who will set this up once and hardly ever move it again. For everyone else, invest in a more expensive one for a more stable experience.

comparing to the price is perfect but the quality it's not that sold ... and sometimes the mic fall down because it's not heavy enough to stand if the mic is heavy than it

Top adjustment screw broke off

After some time, the top screw for the plastic adjustment of the mike position cracked and broke off.

Millenium MS 2003 Mic Stand Review

So, I've bought two of these stand for my studio. One of them I'm using for video recording with pretty light Behringer dynamic microphone and another one for Rode NT-1 combined with Micsreen.

Why am I giving "okay" instead of "good" or "very good". Well, this Mic stand with Boom arm actually works well as a stand for dynamic mic during a gig or video recording. But I'm not happy about it as a stand for my condenser mix, especially combined with Mic Screen. It will be more clear when you see the pros and cons.

Pros:

1. It's just a classy and good mic stand with pretty good Boom Arm for a dynamic microphone. It's already handled a few gigs and few hard rock videos, what I'm happy about.

2. Good price comparing with other microphone stands with boom arm.

3. The relation between price and quality - good.

Cons:

1. You got to be really careful while changing heights because it feels that it isn't hard to break it and it would not fix the heights anymore.

2. The purpose of this mic stand - for dynamic and light microphones, it's definitely not the best choice for condenser mics.

3. This microphone stand barely handles Mic screen (it's too big weight for this mic stand to handle but you can risk it).

In conclusion - it's okay. Price is really good it works fine at gigs, it handles dynamic microphones. I would recommend it for the beginner bands or artist who likes to practise a lot or have a lot of live plays. What I also would recommend is: you shouldn't save few euros for quality of your studio, so I would buy other Millenium stand for a condenser mic, which works perfect for condenser microphones and keep it stable. For 15 Euros, the price of this mic stand, you wouldn't expect to get the best quality possible, would you?

Mediocre quality but I guess that's reasonably all for the price

It's ok... Quite fragile, one of the screws broke after 1 week of light use. So treat it gently...

Just okey

I bought those stands just to have something to put the mic on at my house. I didn't expect anything solid/very good quality. And this stand is just ok. As long as you have a concrete floor, you don't jump but just play it should do the job. But, if you need something good quality, easy-handling and solid, I wouldn't recommend it.

OK for the job

OK stand not a lot of weight at the bottom but with proper placement it will remain stable. Paint will soon wear out at the places where the screws hold everything together, but for the price...Just do not overtighten

It is usable but don't expect professional quality

Well, it's not the best stand, but it does the job if you only use it for light studio aplication. Made mostly from metal, which is good, however the clamp is hard to secure and you need to turn it really well if you want the arm to stand in the position. Also, when you secure the arm in horizontal position it still has a bit of vertical movement to it (the end of the arm lifts a few mm up and down, because it is only secured by a single screw which makes it move a little bit inside the housing, which is just a little bit loose). The vertical pole is not very straight as well when secured, because the bottom screw (near the legs of the stand) makes it lean a bit to the side, when the screw is completely turned - it could look a bit strange for a vocalist, if he sang standing up, but otherwise its merely cosmetic problem.

If you're going to use the stand with a condenser mic you should definetely buy a shockmount because you are going to experience a lot of unwanted noises from this stand. I am not a professional, so hopefully I will use it ok with a bit of attention.
