Decent...

I know it's not much of an accolade to call a mic tripod ''decent'' but that's exactly what this one is?

Solid enough, good enough quality construction, it IS stable but it's a piece of kit to be handled by yourself, with SOME care - DON'T take it on tour, it's just not tough enough to withstand the use & abuse !

Would buy again for rehearsing room use & so on?.

It's okay, don't expect much.

I wouldn't rely on this stand for active stage use, but totally fine for home or rehearsal space use. Flimsy joints and not very stable. Bottom line: good price/performance, but _not_ a great stand by any means.

Fine

This is a fine mic stand but it doesn't support particularly well if you're intending to mic at different angles. If you're looking for a really solid stand spend an extra tenner and get a sturdier one.

Excellent value for money, just not suited to heavy condensor mics

A very good value stand that would probably serve well for many years, unless like me you try and use it with a heavy T-bone SC450 mic! The threaded bush part of the boom that attaches to the mic suspension mount eventually stripped itself of thread, but I managed to keep it going with a bit of DIY bodging! Other than that its a great stand and would suit lighter mics, especially handheld types. Amazing value for money and worth keeping as a backup stand, both for studio or at home. I'm now using a K&M though to support my heavy condensor mic which seems to be a lot more durable and stronger.

A good stand but a bit light for use with a micscreen as it causes it to fall forward. If you put a micscreen on it, you will have to weigh the legs down someway or else it will fall over. This is the only downfall of the stand and overall I am very pleased with it.

Budget stands for lightweight mics

I bought two of these as budget stands for occasional use with light condenser mics - overheads for a drumkit - and they'll be perfect. I wouldn't recommend them for everyday use - especially if you want a heavy mic with the boom angled towards horizontal for long periods. You get better quality if you pay more, but these are perfect cheap stands for this requirement.

Light-weight

The handling is ok, but it's very light weighted. The screws are ok and stand won't probably not break, but it's very light and I would not recommend to use it with a heavy microphone and full vertical extension.

For stationary setup or a rehearsal room it's absolutely ok, for stage I would recommend K&M.

Ok for home use, some faulty construction

This stand has two flaws: First, the arm with and the part with the pivot ist screwed to the lower part, what causes it to be very loose and rotate easily if the plastic nut underneath it ist not tightened enough - which is nearly impossible. It works best to turn the whole arm an hold the steel rod tight.

Second the knob on you use to fasten the arm is made out of thin plastic, contains only a thin nut and the thread of the axis cuts itself into the plastic behind the nut. Mine broke after a few days to pieces, so I replaced it with a better knob. A butterfly nut would also do the job properly.

Low price, low stability.

I've ordered this stand together with a Røde NT-1 to record some vocals at my little bedroom studio. Assembling it was pretty easy and took not longer than two or three minutes. However, as soon as I tried to put the NT-1 and it's shockmount (weighing about 326 g) on it, the stand would simply not stop falling down. No matter how I set it up, now matter how stable it looked at first, after a few minutes it would crash down. Luckily, I managed to catch it every time before it hit the ground and something was damaged. Not recommended for heavy (or expensive) microphones.

Decent value

Overall this stand is quite good product. It's definately sturdier and better built than any other cheapo stand I've come across with earlier. And it has all the necessary features one should need in a stand. It has already withstanded some gigging as an amp mic stand and I don't see any problems using it in the future.

The downsides are that all the screws need to be tightened VERY tightly to be able to trust them. It's naturally also much heavier, than the other fareast variants although in the mic stand category that's usually a non issue. This is something me, my fingers and my condenser microphone realized after the stands top beam suddenly dropped.

A Budget Stand with Some Annoyances

You get what you pay for with this stand. The parts are plastic-y and the joints quite loose. You really need to put in a bit of elbow grease to keep your mic settled. I often have to put down my guitar and devote both arms to steady the mic and keep it screwed tight.

Then again, for this price I'd imagine most people are expecting this, and the low price is the reason I gave it 3 instead of 2 stars.

Reasonable low-budget mic stand

The Millenium MS-2003 is a little flimsy and the tightening mechanisms are somewhat unreliable - issues have occurred when trying to support relatively heavy condenser microphones. Certainly not robust enough for live use but in a home studio context the Millenium MS-2003 just about does the job. A reasonable option for a low-budget mic stand.

Not a bad microphone stand. It has some quality and structure problems, but the price is equal to the quality. It is perfect for home recording studio. Personally I'm using it for guitar recording. I don't bend it all the time, it is just standing for recording.

Not the sturdiest

If you plan on using it to gig often, spring for a more stable stand.

If you don't anticipate a lot of action on stage, shaky stages, or general tomfoolery in the vicinity of the stand it gets the job done.

Fine for home recording or use in a relaxed setting.

Easily broken

I bought a few of these and we only have one left standing now. They get quite a lot of abuse at the church and the worst fault is that you tighten them up to stop them slipping then the threads strip, especially on the boom slide mechanism. Shame because the main stand is nice and robust it's just that I now have 3 stands that are held together with Gaffer tape.

a cost effective mic stand which is good enough to do the job you bought it for and after roughly 2 years mines still working as well as the day i bought it... you know it's built to a price but if you don't like it then spend more money on a different stand. ive known people to spend over £100 on mic stands which is a little pricey for me as this ones fine

Does the job!

Great value for money, a bit wobbly but for a cheap mic stand does the job just fine!
