Good features

It has lots of cool features like the keyboard drawer and the headphones holders. The upper part is a little too high but it's fine if you have a good chair.

Great desk but just one design flaw

This is a really great quality piece of furniture that’s not too difficult to assemble (I had a bit of trouble with securing the top part of the desk as the screws provided were a bit finicky). The desk looks really sleek and has enough space for a keyboard and mouse, MIDI keyboard, interface and a few other things like a synth or drum machine. The one design flaw which is why I gave it a four is that due to the 5U rack space the monitor sits at a very high angle and causes strain on my neck when I work. I think that this desk would benefit if they sacrificed some of the rack space so that the monitor sits at a better angle. One more thing that is very important to consider if you’re considering buying this is that the box it ships in is HEAVY. If you live in a block of flats or you have stairs in your house that you need to get this up it’s best you try and arrange having someone else around to help or else you might struggle.

An Affordable & Versatile Desk

When starting to get into outboard gear, the SD-120 is a great option compared to other more expensive desks. Plenty of room to add units and learn the wire pathing. Plenty of workspace for a keyboard, sequencer, or monitor controller. Plenty of room for my 32" monitor to see everything in my sessions. And two headphone hooks are definitely a nice touch. For those looking to dip their toes into the analog world, the SD-120 is a great starting point at a great price.

Great desk.

Excellent desk. Solid and full of features. Highly recommended.

Slight cons... the rack spaces could have beeb 6u rather than 5u. This would have allowed 2 rows of euro rack. Conversely the monitor sits too high, leading to neck strain.

Simple but great

You will find different station but this one is a great leverage between price and quality. Longlasting and easy to build, good choise.

Good value for money

Basic studio desk but good value for money

Good desk apart from useless rack rails

This is a good looking, sturdy, and roomy desk. So why they had to spoil it by fitting rack rails that can't actually be used because the screw holes aren't standard rack unit spacing is a mystery. If it wasn't for that bizarre fault it would be a solid 5 stars.

Good for Home studios

Good quality, has everything you need studio-wise and desk-wise.

Needs a little work until you set it up.

couldn't ask for more for the price

Got this as my first dedicated studio desk. The building instructions were quite clear and all the parts assorted neatly in separate bags (unlike some of IKEA products :-)). Since I have a Moog Sub Phatty, which doesn't quite fit the table's usual configuration (be sure to check the dimensions before you order!), I've had to change the default config to my specs (by simply drilling the additional holes for the support stand in the middle of the worktop).

My only complaint is the keyboard drawer, it fits my Prophet Rev 2 nicely but wouldn't allow for anything more serious, both by dimensions and weight.

Overall, a good starter choice.

Great value but has it’s weaknesses

Great desk for the price. Compact and good space for controllers, monitors, display, rack units etc, but there a few things to watch out for:

- Can be a bit wobbly when loaded with some gear (I’d like to strengthen it with a metal bar linking the left and right legs).

- The rack spaces are actually a little shy of 6U so there’s a small gap left over (which could be used for running cables through, but I’d rather do without due to my next point).

- The top shelf is pretty high, ideally it’d be a little lower (even that 0.7U or so would help), as even with my 5” studio monitors the tweeters are a little high when sitting at the desk. Same for computer display/monitor.
