Brilliant Synth

I love this synth very easy to use and so much detail in it. I am extremely happy with it

delightful little synth

This little mama was my introduction to the world of modular. the mind boggles. when one finds oneself delving into this realm, and switch-doctor ones' way around the madness, much sweetness to be found there is.

On it's own - this is the classic powerful mega rich and creamy Moog sound, we just can't get enough of. Using it for bass, leads, and rhythmic stuff with the sequencer is actually also pretty powerful (once you figure it out - worth it!).

Moog synths deserve their own day in the week - the 8th day - Moogday, shall we start the petition..??

A class of its own

This is just top quality the build is very strong, Can be hard at first to understand but when you master it you can make fantastic sound's

Synth sound I've been looking for.

Not much I can add to this. It's a Moog and has that classic Moog sound.

The low pass ladder filter is the stuff of legends. The sound of thousands of LP's from times past. Every time I turn it on, I get lost for hours in its sonic wilderness. ( I have no idea what stars for 'handling' is supposed to mean, it goes around corners pretty will with no understeer)

Lovely sounding module. The envelopes are punchy, oscillator sounds very strong and bright. Combined with some external effects gives you hours of fun and tons of inspiration.

Big sound little beast

I have been using analog synths for decades and this little guy just sounds right. The editing process is very easy once you get used to it.

The midi input is great if you don't want a sequence, so you can use it with a keyboard.

The CVs are plenty, though I miss having the option to sort of clock the LFO to tempo. There is no option for midi dumps, which would really help for saving stuff, mainly when producing and backing up stuff.

Any way I give it a ten for such a little wonder.

An excellent piece of gear. Very pleased with the sound. This was my first contact with the semi-modular world. Every time i turn the machine on it turns out to countless hours of happy mistakes and sound sculpting. Not the most complex piece of gear, but add some effects on top and you can get from deep basses to melodic leads and even some experimental stuff. Got this along with a DFAM and they work really well together.

Classic and pretty

This one is my first synth. And I think it's the best choice for that price. Good synth to learn and understand basics of the analog sound design.

This one with some VST plugins (like Decapitator from Soundtoys) could make really good and fat bassline. Square osc have so much juicy sound. But know, anyone VST synth have a more fuction and there are high probability that you plays with this synth month or two, then your synth wiil collect dust in the corner. If you need some more necessary studio stuffs - just think if you really needed this.

Of the minuses-MIDI connection is periodically knocked down and begins an arbitrary pressing of one note. To get rid of it, you need to start the sequencer and immediately turn it off.Well, keep in mind that one oscillator on a monophonic synth is still a serious minus, since you will not be able to enjoy finding new sounds along with harmonies (if you play piano), and you will not be able to immediately make some unique sound. This synth is more suitable for bass and arpeggio parts, as well as for blending and blending sounds into one ready. In this case, you must clearly understand what You want to do and how to achieve it. Otherwise, synth you quickly get bored and you will be disappointed in its capabilities. If you proffesionalnoy twist synth and continue to stick for an hour or two winding one sound or arpeggio, then you will mix to the result dilei and reverbs, then this synth is what you need. It is convenient to take with you on vacation and twist on it.

What should I say as a moog fanatic?

I love it.

The MOTHER-32 completes my setup perfectly, it does what I need.

Especially the combination of MOTHER and DFAM is just fun.

A Mother to be proud of!

This semi modular synthesizer is a very fine stand alone tool to generate sounds and sequences. But it can very easy be elaborated upon by another Mother 32 or a Moog DFAM (Drummer from another Mother). We use it to create our own soundtracks for our promotion movies for Dr.vanBakel VasomotieTherapie®. It takes some reading to get the full potential, but once passed the synths basics, it takes a while before this becomes limited in it's potentials and you need to go beyond semi modular to modular.

Great piece of hardware and amazing sound

bought this module with the intent to patch it to my grandmother synth. these two pieces of hardware were designed to be played together.

its incredible what you can create with this little module.

very versatile, great price considering how many options/possibility's you have with it.

very easy to use/get the hang of it! just a couple of hours of toying around with it and you'll learn how everything works.

would definitely recommend this for beginners and experts in the synth world, well worth a buy.

Fat and strong sound

Difficult to set from the first time, but it some experience it can create fat bass lines or pretty leads.

m32 is a great eurorack introduction synth

couldn't recommend it more great starting semi-modular/eurorack option. it got me into the eurorack format

Power and smoothness from a small gem

This little synth is capable of delivering earth-shattering bass lines, leads and/or anything else in between out of sheer experimentation.

Jamming with it is fun and easy and the sound it it makes is unbelievably complex considering it has only one oscillator with only two waveforms. But that's just the theory. In practice it also has self oscillating resonance and an lfo capable of going into audio freqs and multiple ways in which these three may be combined.

The only complain I have is its rather small size, but this is also understandable in the modular synth universe.

For me it is the perfect introduction in the world of modular analogue synthesis.

A choice that I will never regret !

Awesome

Very good synth for learning modulars and awesome sequencer that can hold really long phrases. The dive in menu option can be a bit tricky, but with practice you can learn to program nice patterns/musical phrases. Sound is moog awesome. The tempo input & high pass filter could've been better, it's easier to sync it through MIDI in. The rest is perfect.

Nice module to get started with synths and modular synths; has a ton of options; allthough some are not that easy to use, like the sequencer and assignable output.

Apart from that it's a ton of fun and considering other synths quite 'cheap' for what you get...
