Troublefree converter with dual outputs

As usual for Mutec, this box is easy and painless to use. It has two outputs for every input so it is useful for format conversions but also as a switch fabric. The only thing I'd like to see is SCMS defeat, but since it converts toslink and coaxial S/PDIF to AES, it's annoying but not unacceptable.

Close, but no cigar. But better than a kick in the face.

This Mutec MC 1.1+ was purchased as the Behringer Ultramatch was no longer in production. It is a nice, solid and substantial piece of equipment which works well. Unfortunately, there are two major problems:

1. This Mutec didn't come with any rack mounting brackets. They're an optional extra, would you believe? I finally succumbed and ordered some.

2. Don't let the + deceive you into believing it is a better product - It is not. This version can only set the SCMS copy-bit to ORIGINAL or 1st Generation. Unlike the predecessor, it can not remove it completely from future generations. In the end, this turned out to be okay, as we were able to change our workflow.

A major bonus which makes up for the shortcomings was that the output is Two Toslink and Two Coaxial SPDIF Interfaces.
