Brilliant but....

It just wasn't for me. I'm a huuuge Arturia fanboi, but I just couldn't get the sound I wanted from this so I returned it. It is build like a tank, heavy and very sturdy. I make synthwave and it just didn't fit my sound unfortunately which is a shame because it looks amazing

Definitely with the upgrade

It’s way better then the mk2, the touch strip adds so much, the screens are so much more useful.

I can't remember visiting the piano roll

It's been 4 months owning Maschine and the workflow is easier and faster than ever. Definitely a must when it comes to laying down ideas. Maschine as a DAW might not be the best, but the device can be integrated with other DAWs, as Maschine also runs as a VST plugin. Excellent device.

awesome kit

amazing piece of kit, steep learning curve though, and NI really need to give out more tutorials. But, all in all this is a fantastic product.

Excelente producto

I'm impressed ...

This version of Maschine is very intuitive. The only, for me, negative point is the mandatory connection to a computer, but NI have already solve this on his new version. Don't hesitate to buy it and certainly if you an a studio ...

Excellent tool for creativity

This machine is a killer when it comes to creativity. Not only can you play drum beats, but you can add sounds from other plugins, synths, ... The workflow is easy to master, the pads are very good, and the instrument itself is built to survive long beatmaking sessions.

The application Maschine 2 is very easy to use, and you'll find creating complex stuff in now time. Gone are the days of creating beats with my mouse ! I now have a monster beat machine on my desk !

Oh, and you can of course use it to control Komplete straight from the box itself.

Only drawback - only a few DAWs have the Komplete Kontrol fully integrated, so forget using the Maschine for this task in applications like Reaper :/

Best hobby for a developer

I spend half my day on the computer as a software developer.

Maschine has been my way to escape work. With just the imagination, I can create music. Somehow the finger fidgeting comes very "handy" here, with the beats and all.

Initially, expansions that can be purchased and downloaded from NI-website to bring inspiration. Different genres of beats will give you templates of what's possible.

Eventually other inputs can be incorporated, like real instruments (guitar, keyboard), even organic sounds/noises can be sampled - finger snaps, footstomp, voice, even scratching surfaces.

This devices is amazing.

I'm not a professional music producer, but I feel anyone that's in to music can find this awesome and interesting.

In fact, my 6 & 12 year old daughters love this as well!

I have no issues so far, its perfect for me.

I'm saving up to get the Komplete Kontrol S88 or S61, but for now, I will be purchasing an M32 next.

The guide I used to get started is just the user-manual (downloaded), and Youtube.

If you need a new hobby, get this. Its really fun and the amount of music you can create is endless.

You won't regret this purchase.

bought it as a toy and it became part of my main arsenal

i initially bought it as a 'toy' to mess around with but quickly incorporated it into my songwriting and it's now part of my main arsenal for writing and producing. i absolutely love it. there's so much to explore i've been using it for a few months now and have only discovered the tip of the iceberg yet. my only complained would be that the integration with other DAW's could be smoother as there's a lot of routing to be done here, but i know Native Instruments updates frequently so i bet this will get smoother in the next few updates. love Native Instruments, Love my Maschine

Really good device

Really nice product, I'm going for real keys, but that doesn't make this a bad product. They could have added a few premium sounds instead of only the basics, the hardware certainly live up to that.

Amazing

Really a great piece of hardware. The integration with Maschine software is second to none. The only downside I found was the integration in other software/DAWs could be better. The frustrating thing is not being able to use the drum pads to input notes in the native mode, without going to MIDI mode (in which case you loose other useful features, like channel faders)

Essential for all type of workflows

This is my Admiral on my setup. I do everything on this. it's the essential of all my workflow. I used Maschine Mikro Mk2 until I get finally MAschine mk3. If you never tried to use it, just go and try somewhere! you'!ll not regret it!
