simply gorgeous midi for your money.

yesterday I played my first melody on it, very comfortable and practical. to be honest, I don’t know what its disadvantages are, for such a price you get a chic tool for work.

Very good affordable option

The keybed is not the best you will encounter for this price, but anything that offers a better keybed sure as hell won't offer this many keys. It's a great budget option for those that don't need a lot of knobs, but do need a lot of keys!

Cheap and easy to use MIDI

This MIDI keyboard has a very good effect, and the price is relatively cheap. It has all the functions and is relatively powerful. It is the best tool for me to make music

Overall nice, except the hard touch.

PROs:

Design looks neat.

Sturdy.

Mod Wheel Pitch whee work fine.

No excessive 10 knobs that wastes my desk space. A keyboard and a keybaord only is what I want.

CONs:

The touch is rather hard. It is a common problem on low end full-weight MIDI keyboard. As a piano player, the touch is rather plastic and unfriendly to my hands. I will get sore after playing it for 30 mins. I will have to adapt my finger energy to play a more dynamic piece. It is difficult to get consistent soft touch.

At this price point, it is what it is. If I had more space in my room, I would go for the StudioLogic Studio/Grand.

Happy with the purchase

I am not a keyboard player, i am a guitar player, but i use various synths and other sounds in my recordings. This keyboard helps me get the job done and i like the feel of the keys. I also like the fact that it is not a very deep keyboard, which is something i was looking for, as this is not the centerpiece in my recordings and i wanted to have something that will not take a lot of space in my studio. Quality feels very good, and the price is just even better.

First USB Keyboard

I bought this product for making music at home for fun. And start to learn, how to play keyboard/piano.

I tried some quality electronic keyboard before, but this is the first one i own. I bought it for the price. and 61 key should be more then enough for me.

Pro:

- Price

- More feature that i will ever use.

- Easy install and i can use it for violin sound, hammond organ etc.

- Much more then a regular piano.

- Relative small size(for me)

Con.:

- A little more detailed users guide would be better imo.

Overall for the price to quality, it is a very great product. Wit some easy setup (velocity) etc. it can be a super companion during music making.

The Best midi keyboard

This is my first MIDI keyboard. I use it to write electronic music. At first I found it very uncomfortable, but over time I got used to it. I really liked that it is compatible with my DAW (Fl studio).

Super nice, intro midi keyboard

Such a nice midi keyboard. I like the quality and the tactile feeling of it. Some youtubers said that the keys can be noisy. ehhm, its not bad actually. I intentionally played it a little bit hard, as soon as I get it, but I am ok with it. Its very useful for recording. Plus, it can be used on ipad with camera extension.

Great budget midi-keyboard.

This is my first midi-keyboard ever, so since i have nothing to compare with, ill just describe my first impressions after a day of using this keyboard.

First it has good looking minimalistic design. I like it. Solid build and nice synth action keys. Work as plug and play, no drivers required. I just plug it to my laptop, opened my daw and started to work immediately.

About keys quality, its nice, but obv they are not for piano players, so if you're after expressive performance forget it. But for me keys do their job.

Features: again me i just need to put midi info in my daw and transport controls, plus mod wheel. GX61 has it all.

And of course last but not least...Price. For that quality and features its a really nice price. I dont think you get something better for that price, So thats why i chose Nektar GX61.

Pros: Price, keys quality also good like 4 out of 5, solid build and all features that i need.

Cons: Not detected yet.

For the price the best you can get

I've used this keyboard for over a year now and it was easy to translate from this to a 4k€+ Yamaha/Korg keyboard. The keys feel very good and in my opinion are the closest you'll get before stepping up to hammer keys.

Specs are basic but the device is very compact, sturdy and for the price I won't bother. I still enjoy it every day I play, it was worth for what I need it: as compact, cheap and playable as possible.

Also Nektars support was very helpful as I got a defective device the first time.

Solid midi controller

This is a great budget midi controller. For the price keys are very good, pitch shifter and modulation buttons are sturdy. The keyboard works as plug and play, no installations needed. The only flaw for me would be that it doesn't have a midi out, as you have to connect it to a pc via usb cable.

All-round good keyboard for when you need extra keys without any extras like pads etc, for the price it's a very good unit.
