Beautiful

Speakers are smaller but have actual weight to them. The sound is superb and enjoyable to listen to for a prolonged period. I'm using these in a decent-sized home studio room, and they are loud, punchy, and have surprisingly good bass.

Honest Monitors

Pros:

Built like tanks, all metal enclosure and built in

metal grill protecting the woofer and tweeter,

super flat frequency response the sound is exceptionally neutral and accurate making mixing and mastering work far more precise

with less need for double checking mixes elsewhere

if there's any issue with a recording/mix/master these will definitely let you know, leading to faster better sounding results,

extremely fast and lifelike transient response and excellent soundstage,

ability to hear things extremely accurately,

great recordings and mixes sound superb

and bad ones have nowhere to hide,

lots of controls to adjust them to the environment,

mixes that translate everywhere!

Cons:

very solid bass but subwoofer needed below 52hz

Pricey ..but worth it!

There isn't much not to like with the Neumann KH120 A monitor. Compact, robust, unobstrusive and sounds absolutely brilliant.

Good monitors for a home studio

These are fair enough monitors. I was hoping to get an instant suprise when I first connected them. I was not, but the more I use them the more I am starting to like them. They are detailed monitors with a huga low frequency response. Yep, I quit using a sub. In general these are perfect choice for home studio....at least for me.

Great studio monitors

I have a small home studio, and these are perfect for listening. Easy on the ears.

Awesome speakers

It's really hard to believe it could make such low end from these little speakers!

I can't really find another speakers can compared with these in this price point. I mainly use it on mixing, and it translate very well on other system (home theater, car, earphone etc.). Really happy that I made this decision buying these.

If anyone who is searching a pair of speakers in this price point, you should definitely give it a try.

Clarity to your mixes

This is the best investment you can make to your studio. The quality of these monitors is simply amazing. You get so much clarity and easily hear any flaws in your mixes, a must have for all studios! 5 stars Neumann quality!

Built like a tank, absolute clarity

I'm an acoustician and I use this product for room acoustic testing. Especially in cases where we have to measure accurate room response. The response of this speaker is very flat which makes it perfect for this purpose. The response we measure with this speaker as the source and using measurement microphones (we use earthworks mics) reflect only the response of the room and does not require us to correct for the speaker's response.

Clarity - We run exponential sine sweeps from 80Hz all the way to 18kHz usually to get as much info as we can for reverberation times. Also there is very little to no distortion for the SPL ranges we use (~90dBA) which makes it even more reliable. While we use a "dodecahedron" speaker most of the time for larger halls, this speaker is my go-to for small rooms and offices.

In terms of clarity and definition, for me as an acoustician I'd only recommend Neumann KH120A speakers for critical listening, as this speaker is not kind to ill treated rooms and bad mixes. Which makes it the perfect tool for us. It brings out all the artefacts in the room, which helps us design the room even better.

Pros - absolutely heavy duty, extremely flat response, very reliable for long working hours.

Cons - Only XLR input, would love it if there was a balance TRS input as well.

We are going to make our studio in the near future and we will only buy these monitors - any day.

Neaumann KH-120A!!!

Best speaker ever what the sound amazing,mixing is made easier with these speakers, the sound is detailed but yet very neutral, It's comfortable to listen to the speakers for a long period.Very detailed bass.

Clear and bassed

Compared to:

- Yamaha HS7. Neumann more bassed, more clear and accurate.

- KRK Rokit 7-8. Rokit have a more mud, dirty sound. They have no more bass, their bass are no accurate.

I found one minus - the resonans on 76 Hz. Thats no serious problem.

Upgrade after 10 years of Yamaha HS50M use. I can finally hear all the elements in my mixes. Night and day difference - solid construction, crystal clear sound and amazing frequency response. Best investment for my studio - period.

Simply perfect

As my room is mostly untreated, naturally I had to do some adjustments in the low frequencies up to around 200 Hz. Now these sound extremely natural and non fatiguing. Mids are full bodied and forward, bass is very controlled and nicely extended for the size, highs are slightly laid back. I'm in love with them, 10/10.

that monitors are extremely good for this price, small speaker but Deep bass and detail in all spectrum.

I'm very happy to purchased them after long time using KRK and Yamaha HS series. This one is different! what you hear is will be same on the other systems even with earbuds translation is quite same. so to produce or mix on this ones is pure joy and not makes your ears tired. but if you like to hear loud sound KH120 Had not go to high on levels but you don't need that much level when you mixing or producing.

The delivery to Korea was slow.

But it came unscathed and the sound was satisfied.

It is a model that is not particularly popular in Korea.

But the separation sounds good.

I am very satisfied.

I like everything

Absolutely accurate sound. There are no dips and frequency rises. Low frequencies are enough, high frequencies do not cut the ear. When I made the order, the price really upset me, but now I’m sure that the price is completely justified. These monitors are worth the money I paid. These are the best monitors I've worked with. I highly recommend it.

So clear

These speakers are incredibly clear across the whole range. I hear parts of tracks I didn't previously know were there. The bass is ridiculously crisp for a small speaker. If your tracks sound bad through these then there's something wrong with them. If they sound good they'll sound good anywhere. Buy them, it's not that much more expensive than good hifi speakers and a good hifi amp, and much better. Both mixing your own and listening to already produced music is a joy.

Great monitors. Can be heard the difference compared to my old monitors . Even my guitar sounds very good.

Tight Stereo Image - Powerful intense bass frequencies

These are powerful monitors. Tight Stereo image, deep bass (perhaps a little too intense in low freq) with detailed mids. Very revealing balance of overall frequency rages. Not brittle in the high end. Great to build a mix with. No obvious Cons.
