Pyramid 306/100 Silver Medium/Heavy Reviews
Great folk open tunings strings
Perfect match for my cedar top folk. Good for open tunings, they can handle Open C. Harmonics of silver strings are very open and sweet at the same time, which is great if your guitar sounds a bit dark or compressed (typical for many smaller bodies). I wouldn't probably use them with my spruce top dread (where I prefer Martin Retro® monel strings). Contrary to effectively everlasting monel, Pyramid silver strings do not last long (except for heavy 6 sting), as silver coating quickly vanishes, but that's fine considering the price. The only real drawback is, as somebody already mentioned, that the third string is too thin and gets easily damaged.
Good strings, greta sound and price, but low E String had fairly rough winding around the ball end which made it snag on the tail piece of my guitar.
Sound ok, quality...bad
I use this set for a parlor handmade guitar. I would say that the sound and the style are correct, for the build of the particular guitar, but silver rasts too quick, lowering the quality after 1-2 months of use, depending on the use.
Sound ok, quality so-so
Sound is fine for the price. Quality of wound G string just bad.
Excellent sound, well balanced tension, but...
Very disappointed by the quality of the third string (G). It gets damaged (strips) too easy. Otherwise this set would be the perfect one for me...
Very good
Tried them on an old acoustic guitar that I didn't want to stress with bronze strings and the sound is very nice
Not as durable as others
The strings made a good, bright sound at the start. However, compared with other strings they were rather quick to lose their quality. The bass became dull and dead and the two trebles began to rasp.
