Thick!

This head is really well made and will last a long while. However, from my experience, it is not for every tuning.

I like to tune my snares high and I don't really recommend this head for that, unless the plan is to play rimshots all the time. Because it is a double-ply, it becomes very stiff when tuned high. This will feel like hitting on a piece of solid wood and make the sound a bit underwhelming. Not round or full but rather overly dry.

Only recommended for beefy, low to medium tunes.

Remo quality, but maybe a bit more thick. Especially for a 12" snare. It can take a beating, but I'm not using it anymore. To me, a single ply head sounds best on a 12" snare.
