Great look and feel

I love Remo drumheads, so I'm a little biased, but I love them because they never disappoint you.

Full tone

Hi, this snare head sounds great and is rugged, nice fat snare sound!

Sustain is back

I wanted an open sound from my wooden snare (5 ? ,16 blocks of bubinga wood). More sustain, and smaller difference of sound, playing from center to out. I removed aquarian texture coated, (excellent heads I think that they will never break) and I placed ambassador x. Wow! I got exactly that, warm wooden sound in hi tension.

Remo Snare

As always, the Remo skins do the job for which they are intended.

i like it

it takes off some of the overtones. if you put some moongel it gets real dead. a cheap alternative to powerstroke.. a bit different, but i like it a lot.

The reference snare

This Remo head is something we can't ignore, in the realm of snare drums. I believe it could sell with a better price, as they sell so much. The sound is good, but not perfect, depending on the snare shell, etc. Maybe they are the best with steel snare drums.

The classic open tone with more durability

I'm using the Remo Ambassador X on a 14'' Gretsch Renown Maple snare and the results are very good - especially on a medium to high tuning. The sound is very punchy and open with lots of crack, and the extra thickness in comparison to the standard Ambassador makes this drum head more durable and also darkens the tone slightly. I use the drum head for recording, it can withstand a good beating from heavy hitting drummers and maintain its tone for considerably longer than the regular Ambassador, however if heavy hitting is what you are primarily dealing with I would still recommend a double-ply head to maintain the tone for a longer period of time. The Ambassador X is a great single-ply drum head for a wide range of musical genres - open, warm and punchy with some extra durability.

I love It

I cant put my finger on it, but the skin produces a very pleasurable tone. It has that perfect balance between the tone you would get from the standard Ambassador, and the attack you would expect from a super modern skin. You can tell they are using the latest technology for the skin from the stand out sound. Basically a modern Ambassador sound with great durability.

Trouble free fit and sound

I use this head simply because it fits and tunes perfectly and gives a great sound on my 1970's Ludwig snare.

Quality snare drum head

Used this head on my snare

As always a quality product from Demo.

Has the sensitivity of an ambassador but with extra durability.

Very easy to tune.

Great snare drum head

I love this

I will always trust this snare head to give any snare a good sound. After using them for 6 months I get new ones but the old ones I give to drummer friends with no money and they'll last 2 years more if they use them right.

Quality head for a good price

The Ambassador X is easy to fit and tune, and is of a good quality: it can be tuned high or low for a consistent and exciting sound. The coated surface works well with brushes.

I bought the head to replace my Evans G1 that I was using as it was not ideal as a snare head. This one is thicker and more durable, and should last me for the next few months for sure.
