This one was a great buy, it adds to low-range bass without the need to use a mic which is especially nice in small bar gigs. Looks very nice on stage, adds visage. Easy to install. No need for bassdrum full of pillows anymore. Doesn't affect mic recording, although you'll need an instrument mic stand for the mic. Recommend highly to double-bass music, the kick sounds orders of magnitude more robust.

Looks cool. sounds louder . i compared to a normal resonant head recording with a handset and its volume even caused the phones mic to distort. Perfect for lower volume gigs where the kick is not mic'd but maybe a little lost in volume with a normal resonant head

This product will transform your kick drum both sonically and visually. It really does what its built for and it looks killer. I`d recommend this drumport for drummers playing metal, because it boosts the mid`s and high`s, while making the kick sound louder and tighter. Keep in mind its very thick (1mm) compared with normal drumhead, thus it wont provide the resonance as the normal drumhead.

Great head and still going strong about a year down the line. Use in a loud rock evironment and was looking for something a bit thicker, use a small beater pad to bring a little click out and a thin line of Fabric underneath the skin and it turns into a huge, low end cannon with a nice, controllable amount of resonance. Perfect fit in a 80's (ish) Premier marching bass drum conversion. Flawless postage and packaging, no problems and quick delivery too.(as well as the cheapest option I could find anywhere) Thanks!

This is a cool but not a very necessary product. It doe's not fit in the jazz, blues genre(??) But it might be good for metal, rock and pop. I recommend looking at youtube videos and make up your own mind. I can't recommend or dis(like) this product. It's a gadget that some people will like but maybe you should try something else if you wanna change your sound
