Best Brutal Metal Pedal

Sound out of this world. You just forget your amps gain and put clean channel. Then you press the pedal button and that’s it. Welcome to hell! Always red switch aggression on. Lots of treble, less middle and you re done.

Best DISTORTION I've had

I've had so many pedals... but this one I keep. ARTICULATE sound.

Amazing for metal

This pedal is awesome if you are looking for really thick metal distortion.

It has enough versatility and a modern metallic tone.

You will need a noise gate with this fella as things get pretty noisy during play.

a dream pedal for metal tones

I am using with a Marshall 1960A cab and Fryette Powerstation PS-2A. Connecting Revv G3 into line input, and that's all for a dream tone. You can EQ quite nicely depends on rhythm or lead tone. if you use with guitar volume knob, you can also get blues tones from it. I used many distortion pedal but none of them satisfied me enough as this Revv G3 does. Life & Time Saver...

THE HYPE IS REAL!

Been eyeing this pedal over a year now and last month I pulled the trigger.

The color is an eye candy, it's gorgeous!

First chug out of the box, the setting was all 12 noon plugged in to my boss katana and I was blown away with the tone! Like a dream! It's an expensive amp in a box.

Therefore I conclude, the rumors are real, THE HYPE IS REAL! Best distortion ever!

One of the best distortion pedals?

If you are into modern metal, this pedal is for you. I also bought the Tosin Abasi Pathos pedal while I got this pedal, and this one blows it away 100%. The build quality is all metal, but beware that its super light, even oddly so. Recommended.

Close to perfection

Even for the price range, I still feel this is cheap for what you're getting. It's responsive and sounds amazing.

A diamond in the rough

There are so many distortion pedals out there. How does anyone decide where to start or what they will like. I've watched my fair share of YouTube videos which seem like an endless task but that's how I discovered the Revv G3. Initially I was a bit sceptical as I wasn't getting that sound I was looking for. I play mainly metal/hard rock, but with a little bit of patience and time spent tweeting my amp settings to better suit the pedal in no time I was chugging like Ola England. If you're a hard rock or metal fan you can't go wrong with the Revv G3. It might be a little on the pricey side but it hold through that you get what you pay for.

One of the best pedals

One of the best pedals with a wide range of gain settings - from high gain to mild rock tones.

Very pleasant with the purchase.

For real metall!

Using this with my Marshall DSL20. Amazing sound, I'm satisfied. Enough gain for any guitar. Very juicy mids.

From minuses - it has quite annoying background noise, it is very sensitive for power adaptor. And you will need to use noise gate.

Revv G3. One of the best distortion pedals ever made.

Killer pedal! Very versatile 'amp in a box' kind of pedal, it covers a wide range of great tones from mid gain to ultra high gain, I use it both for lead and rhythm. It pairs well with other overdrive pedals and can be used as pre-amp too. It's very quiet even when set to high gain. Beautiful pedal to look at with a deep purple glossy finish. There are gummy bears and cool stickers included. This pedal deserves it's good reputation.

Incredible Distortion Pedal

As close to a modern high-gain amp sound that you can get with a pedal. This sounds excellent and is perfect for playing modern metal. Huge ammount of gain.

Easy to use. It came with solid setting recommendations, and it's honestly hard to get a bad sound out of this thing.

The packaging was also top quality. Highly recommended.

Top distortion

Basically if you want to have a very good sounding distortion this might be the answer. Very responsive knobs so there is a lot of range out there. Even though its pricey i am very happy to have it. So would recommend to others.

Amazing!

I'd been thinking about buying this pedal for a while before actually pulling the trigger on it and boy, I'm glad I did so! This thing is a beast, it handled everything I threw at it, and masterfully so.

I use it with the clean channel of my BOSS Katana 50. It sounds like a tube amp, very organic and defined. When the aggression switch is off, the gain is lower and somehow blends with the clean tone of the amp. The blue mode is heavier, but very tight and articulate, perfect for djent-style stuff or heavier rock. The red mode is the one I use most. It is a bit scooped, enough to give it a killer metal tone, the setting feels overall 'looser' but every note still rings clearly.

I downside would be that it's a slidy pedal, and the back scratches easily when doing so. I would have liked a rubber casing of some sort included, but this is not a deal breaker.

One of my best guitar related purchases!

Highway to Metal Tone Heaven

Bought this to pair with the clean channel on my Orange Rocker 15. Well, it works great with both the Clean and the Dirty channels on that Amp. Warms up and tightens the tone immediately. Has a fantastic range, from clear, classic roar, to articulate chug, it gives you everything. Once I turn it on, I physically have to have the guitar torn from my hands. Such a pleasure to play with.

purple monster

i loved the blue part much ,, very naturaL sounding distortion, red channel is bit scooped.

The only slight downside is that if you do not have a rig you can put it on, it can move across the floor when turned on and off - it's a small bit slidy. But that is really picking holes in it to be honest.

Really good.

I got this pedal after reading the great feedback it got from other heavy music players and watching a few videos.

It does justice to the reviews. Has a fantastic sound boost and works really well in both audio interface and amplifier.

I don't know if it is -the- best but it is surely one of the greatest metal pedals around.

There's nothing bad to say about this piece and the build quality is top.
