Perfect mic for the beginner

First off: I'm not a mic-specialist. But for me as a beginner on the mic, this is a really beautiful option with a fairly decent price tag. Next, I should also state that I use this mic pretty often for beatboxing (resp. live looping) and not as a frontman of any band. So this review concentrates on singing and producing beats and sounds with a looping machine.

I don't have any alternatives to compare, but for me the mic seems to be pretty heavy. In the beginning, this might be somewhat disturbing, but on the other hand, it also gives the mic a certain value (quality-wise).

Concerning the sound, I can't complain too much, it certainly does its job, but there will also be better option on the market. So for me this is a good mic to start singing or if you have a lower budget and desperately need a mic. It features a reasonable sound and a good quality and the cost-benefit-ratio is ok - at least for me as a beginner.

Good mic for the price

Like most Rode mice this one punches above its weight for the price you pay.

It is a solid mic with a good sound. Used as an alternative to a SM58 it works out fine.

Røde M1

This dynamic microphone from Røde as a bargain at the price. It is rugged and, so far, just as reliable as the Shure SM58. The sound is just as good as the above mentioned mic and is a great alternative.
