Rode NT5 MP 4-stars Reviews
I use them at home for recording
I have to say, after i used this mics i felt in passion with it. Playing guitar and listening live is a fun, but you have to use them in pair and Stereo. If you use them singular or mono the sound is not the best, but if you know how to use them they are really cool and fun.
good quality
Gets the job done very well.
I used this for choir and even for ambiente sound capture.
Overall the results were positive.
Only bad aspect was that I was expecting a slightly larger gain before feedbacl
Expected Quality
Slightly sensitive in small areas on the higher frequencies, but provide a clean and clear sound overall.
Great mics
These mics are great for Acoustic guitars, drum overheads, piano and much much more! Personally, I do not love the way they sound, but saying that they do sound great for the money! It would be great if they had some sort of Pad or roll off switches, but again for the money you can't be that picky.
Drum Overhead Mics
I purchased this matched pair of condenser mics to replace my old AKG C1000s's. The Rode NT5 mics are far superior, but only have a cardioid pickup pattern. They are quite small, but when used with SM4 Shock Mounts, they look the business.
Good product
The sound quality is not as good as I had expected, but it is definetly good enough for mics within this price range.
Accessorize
These mics are great. However, it would have been nice if the pack included a stereo bar attachment for a mic stand as, for me, their main use is for acoustic guitar and using 2 mic stands is a bit cumbersome. I'd recommend purchasing a stereo bar at the same time.
