Perfect for its cost

Great microphone for a very reasonable price.

Pros: Very little noise, excellent recording quality (for this price range), a full 10 years warranty.

Cons: Rather caustic upper frequencies

Great value for money microphone

I use it for home vocals recordings and does the job perfect! Value for money in my opinion if your are not a pro and just want to complete you tracks with vocals in your home studio.

May not be the most expensive microphone out there, but this is a fantastic piece of equipment. Great addition to my studio, very crisp and clear. 100% happy.

Nice warm vocals. I use to use the AT2035, the Rode has a warmer and whole sound compared to the AT2035.

Good Sound

Good Mic, though I had some problem getting it to work The First Time. There was some low rumble noise, even on different interfaces and cables. It works fine now and is a good Mic.

The Stand and Pop-Shield could be improved, but work ok.

The Best Beginners Mic

This is a classic mic. If you are starting out recording, then I feel it is the best mic to begin with. A classic, easy to set up with a balanced sound, it is both evenly balanced and great value for money.

You cannot choose the field pattern but it doesn't matter if you are just starting. It has lush sensitivity for vocals and speech.

Rode are my go to company for mics. They make quality gear and I highly recommend having this mic in your tool kit.

Perfect microphone for versatile use!

From recording vocals, and guitars to sound effects, etc. this microphone covers it all. I am very happy with the accuracy and frequency response that it delivers. But the quality of the stand which is included isn't that good.

P.S. For working you will need 48 V phantom power.

Wow it works

Even with a voice like mine this Mic - with a bit a tweeking, almost make my vocals acceptable. Great real feel mic for a home studio.

You get what you pay for, I would recommend this item to anyone trying to start their projects or set up their home studio. If you are a bit skilled with microphone technique and mixing, you can get a pretty decent sound.

Worthy Choice

Very pleased with the purchase, a chic microphone for the money, very pleasant to the touch. Great, clear and loud sound. Very cool packaging, you can immediately see that RODE customers are extremely respectful. No noise, just pure sound.

A good pickup - Rode NT1-A

I had been missing a good studio vocal microphone, and Rode NT1-A has resolved the issue, surely we'll be ordering more of these.

I've been using these for years and always get compliments on any vocal recordings I've done at home. People are often surprised that it's just a trusty NT1-A.

Quality is great. Shock mount is little clunky with the fixed pop filter but I still appreciate the addition.

My one complaint is that the one XLR that I have that doesn't fit this mic is the one that came with it. I really don't know what the issue was. The mic works with other cables and the cable works with other mics but they do not like each other. Just could be annoying for someone starting off who wouldn't have spare cables handy.

Bang for your hard earned buck

I believe this is as much as you can get (and expect) from a MIC in this price range. Even more - it it better than some of its competition with a higher price tag. Start here, earn some and go a class higher. But you will surely return to NT1-A later as well.

The only thing I regret with this MIC is that I spend money on other MICs before I bought this one.

Its my first mic. Im satisfied all of it, good sound, quality, look great.
