Rode NT4

This is a superb piece of kit for any studio. The addition of the NT4 to my studio set-up has meant that my acoustic guitar and drums tracking has improved immeasurably. It's a versatile mic and even worked really well when recording an Irish harp. There's very much a 'point and shoot' aspect to this mic which really saves time when you're under pressure. I would highly recommend this mic for any small or midsized home/project studio that is considering expanding its mic collection.

Very robust

The NT4 blew me away on the first few tests i did with it in the field - have yet to use in studio application.

The build is very solid, quite some weight to the microphone. Sound quality is fantastic - representative of the price point.

only some slight issues.

One of the XY capsules doesn’t fully tighten onto the microphone itself.

You tighten it to a point and then it loosens itself . I sincerely hope this will not be an issue in the long run.

Another disappointment is that the microphone does not ship with a dedicated hard case - which would be very much appreciated for the price. Thankfully, i have built a foam case specifically for the NT4, so it’s not the biggest problem, but it would still be nice to have the option.

It is possible that they left this out to keep the price more attractive to buyers!

Highly recommended purchase, really enjoying the NT4’s sound!

Stereo Widener Mic

I wanted to easily record acoustic guitar on stereo mode without double tracking (Left and Right).

Pros: wide stereo, clarity and heavy duty mic. The Mic comes in a plastic box which is heavy duty as well and it has all the necessary accessories such as cables and mic air filter cover. The Mic works on a phantom power/Battery.

Cons: None.

My favorite mic for recording stereo.

Very good sound for the price.

Capsules are good, I am not a recording pro so i needed a mic that captures sound without much possibility of going wrong. X/Y stereo only, very clear and clean sound.
