Great Find for Audience Recording

Was a great discovery and for the price was a superb find. Now done 18 months of touring without any issues.

A very good starter microphone.

Great for portable recording & in the studio, it works well for recording wildlife & nature, small & lightweight, it easily fits into most blimps & works just as well on a pistol grip for those lightweight portable excursions into nature, a very useful addition to any field recordists bags.

Great mic!

I bought a pair of this mic for addition to my main mics for choir. I'm very satisfied with the quality and the sound of this mics. Very solid build, nice package, wind filter and so on. I recommend this mic to everyone who need a good condenser mic for addition and ambience mic(choir, orchestra, guitar)

An excellent microphone for recording and live sound

Purchased a few of these Rode NTG1 microphones to work as overhead mics for our theatre. Their sensitivity and polarity of these mics enables seperation between the microphones across the performance area with an excellent capture of the sound presented. Excellent for recording and live application.

A CLASSIC!

NTG1 timbre is really nice for recording voice dialog at film sets. Even to have a very powerful set I would add a pair of oktava, wireless senheisser and a pair of sanken, for a quick start kit or EDC is awesome quality at an affordable price.

I would recommend this mic to people that is starting to record sound for video in order to have a good experience at a price that don't hurt at all, avoiding to pay cheap experiments that can change to tedious the work at the studio.

Rode NTG-1

Excellent mic. I bought it to use for vocals which were difficult to mic close up. I.e. for a guitarist also reading music from a music stand. It works superbly. The sound quality is excellent as you would expect from Rode.it also works really well for instruments such as flute where close micing can pick up breath sounds as well as the flute music.

Am looking to buy more when funds allow.
