Rode NTG4+ 5-stars Reviews
This is a nice one to have in your mic arsenal!
I bought NTG4 mostly because it doesn't need phantom power from an external mic amp. It is a nice mic, feels solid, and the sound is brilliant.
Someone could consider it as an "entry-level" mic given its price, but since you know when and how to use it, the results are totally professional.
Used it for samples and on-set, and it got the job done perfectly.
Excellent value
At this price point, for this quality and for a 10yrs warranty included this microphone really is a great choice for professionals and amateurs
Perfect
Vraiment parfait et en ligne ce à quoi je m'attendais !
il fait le travail qu'on lui demande. Très précis. Très bonne qualité.
Perfect sound
Recently purchased and used on a short film/documentary hybrid! During one of the interviews we used it and it worked with ease picking up clean audio while being adaptable enough to avoid unecessary atmos with some tinkering at the Zoom
Very nice sound.
A very easy to use shotgun mic with great quality recordings.
Excellent shotgun micophone
Great features.
Long life built-in USB-C battery.
Excellent sound quality for the price range.
Best vfm shotgun
As a low budget film director I end up doing sound as well.
I bought NTG4+ and after 6 months I am not disappointed at all.
Quality sound with integral battery, perfect addition to my equipment.
Very nice mic
Mostly I use this mic for sound effects recording outdoor. It works great with Shure MVI + iPhone SE. Also, it works great assembled to One Plus 5, and MacBook as well. Honestly, I didn't expect such nice quality!
This is my first boom mic, but I like them so much. Battery life is very good.
As close mice for the object - as the better quality you get.
awesome
so happy with this mic . great for foley and sampling sounds for drums
the battery is great so it won't drain the zoom h6 .
Great shotgun mic
Rode makes great microphones. NTG4+ has a big advantage over others with its internal battery. So far recording with it has been very easy a effective. It might not have that warmish sound as for example NTG3 which is more expensive, but it records well and the sound can be EQ'ed however you want afterwards in post. NTG4+ for sure sounds and picks up sound better than NTG2. Overall excellent mic for standard production.
Solid high quality shotgun microphone, as you would expect from Rode. Build quality is excellent and the included battery has very long life, so it's very reliable. The included foam windscreen isn't particularly effective, but should be good enough to handle air conditioning or sheltered outside locations in good weather. Anything stronger and you'll need to a deadcat or some other solution. The mic is strongly directional even compared to other shotgun mics I've used which is great for isolating dialogue or instruments, though it does come at the cost of some versatility. Good buy, would recommend.
